Does anyone who how does the weight classes in MPA (Malaysia powerlifting alliance) work? Does it follow the IPF (international powerlifting federation) and start from U59kg?

Untested. Go with your own risk haha.

The prize isn't that attractive. If you compete for prize and money, forget about it. It was the biggest meet in malaysia. So, just take it as meeting bunch of people with same interest. It is fun to compete although the total organization still lack of experience. But it is improving for sure.

This is definitely true.
The prize money just covers the entry fee. Youll probably end up spending more money on the meet, with tshirts and all the powerlifting gear.

But its worth it. Would recommend to enter a meet just for the fun of it.

edit : Anyone planning on joining MPA 2016?
