QUOTE(hightechgadgets8 @ Nov 29 2015, 11:17 PM) might have updated the signature in v7 as China rom was v6 and didn't have signature verification issues I still cannot figure out the ADB way. I've enabled USB debugging, but fastboot mode doesn't load up the ADB drivers, they load up the Google Bootloader Interface driver. |

QUOTE(Kesh1018 @ Nov 29 2015, 11:57 PM) Finally rooted my RN 2 using the fastboot way. Had to read this miui forum method, specifically installing the 3rd method's Miphone Flash tool for their drivers (most probably didn't even need them), and following the fastboot instructions on method 3 to flash TWRP 2.8.7 Materialized Theme, and used the method 2's TWRP instructions to show me the way. QUOTE(Kesh1018 @ Nov 30 2015, 02:29 AM) Are you using the stable rom? I tried this way too, doesn't seem to be working, always ends up in MiRecovery I'm still on 7.0.8.0 stable rom Ori set, and like I said, I used the method I linked, the 3rd method's fastboot instructions (but using the custom twrp supplied) up to the part typing "fastboot reboot", immediately holding the volume up button to get to recovery mode, and the 2nd method TWRP instructions all the way.I think the main difference from the first fastboot method I used is typing the command "fastboot reboot". (also enabling USB debugging by activating developer options [tap 5-7 times on MIUI version in the About Phone page]) This post has been edited by trencher10: Nov 30 2015, 02:55 AM |

When we update the ROM, we lose root access again right? Do I need to reinstall and repatch "LP" patched apps?
