Did you root to underclock CPU? I only get 3 hours per charge, 20% brightness, dual sim with 4G + Wifi.  

Hi, I have some questions to ask. Mine is on V7.0.8

1. What is the easiest way to root this phone without going through PC, for simplicity sake? I tried the twrp287.zip of the Method 2 in the miui forum, but it states that "signature verification failed" when I tried to install it from Mi Updater.

2. Is the font on 7.1.1 the same as 7.0.8? I heard that the font cannot be changed, but if its giving the same font as 7.0.8, then I don't mind upgrading, since I won't change my font anyway. Can someone on 7.1.1 post a screenshot of their font here for comparison?

3. If I have rooted my phone, do I need to unroot it first before performing OTA update or a reformatting, or it's fine to do that while my phone is rooted?

Have u guys use greenify? It seems like miui cleaner doing the job same like greenify isn't? When we clean the app from the task, it's force stop the app. So in the greenify app, the app is already hibernated. No need greenify la kot?

Don't know if root can delete all the apps, but recommended to flash global ROM if you don't plan to root.
Or, flash Global ROM, then root it.

You can flash custom ROM as well.

After upged to v7.1.1.0, default file explorer missing!! How to get it back?

Go to setting->sync......untick/off it will do. MiCloud wont sync even all the individual setting in MiCloud are turned ON.

not sure why, but ever since the upgrade I can't browse or play any video on 9gag app, but my Note 4 can....

I updated my phone a few times but this is the first issue that i noticed on the latest one, when i click the videos on 9 gag it will not load whatsoever, regardless on WIFI or 4G 

Is there a soft reset that I can do that doesn't make me lose any data on my phone?

Soft reset did the work 

just to update, sent it back to directd yesterday and they flash it back to global rom. everything is fine now for some reason my unit was on china rom.... zzzz

tips to anyone getting their phone from directd, after purchase head straight to the customer service next door on 2nd floor. ask them the flash to latest global rom. takes only 10min

anyone has gmail pushing problem? mine just won't push. not even if the app is running. i had to manually refresh every time.
