Try clear cache & restart phone. Then charge again. See if you still get same problem. Else, I think u shud claim warrnty. Need advise from the others pro here.

I own both Redmi Note 2 prime and redmi note 3 here. I can tell you this version 3 is not really "better" unit compare to version 2.

yes RN3 has perks like better battery , metal casing and fingerprint but it lacks micro SD slot, removable battery, gps problems, no international rom yet due to hardware lock down. Even my Prime RN2 cpu is more powerful than RN3 LOL
