AP set...original China ROM...then flash to local 7.0.12 ROM...and then flash to Global ROM.
Global ROM 5.11.12 seems most stable so far.

QUOTE(bizness @ Dec 13 2015, 11:05 PM) Does not respond to touch looks like a hardware issue to me You can flash twrp via the miui updater and root it. Just two files, one for twrp and one for root. 2 simple steps. Check miui forum. Done that with phone and mipad. To install TWRP, need to flash the recovery.img via fastboot (Power + Vol Down button). Please follow this guide carefully : http://en.miui.com/thread-146299-1-1.html You cant flash the TWRP using Mi Recovery. Tested it and it does not work. Only was is to flash it via fastboot. Please follow this guide carefully : http://en.miui.com/thread-146299-1-1.html Good Luck. If you need help or stuck in the process, let me know. |

QUOTE(bizness @ Dec 14 2015, 11:23 AM) Nope for Redmi Note 2 it is not possible. Actually it depends on ur recovery. Got two type of MI Recovery. The Malaysia set RN2 does not work when flashing the twrp through MI recovery. It works, tested. If phone bricked, use miflash, sure work. Also, flashed before. Just make sure battery above 50%, otherwise ur phone may appear KO when trying to boot up after flash. If KO, halfway, use miflash with wipe all function. Quite simple and straightforward. Don't blame me if brick urs. This post has been edited by chkwong: Dec 14 2015, 11:39 AM |

Flashing:-
1. MIUI default update. 2. Mi PC Suite. 3. TWRP. 4. If all else fails, use miflash. This works all the time so far. And restore back to original MIUI rom. |
