QUOTE(pac1 @ Nov 30 2015, 08:35 PM) Hi, can anyone compare or comment on the camera quality of RN 3g or Meizu M2 Note with RN2? Been using RN3g for a year plus and thinking of switching to either RN2 or m2 note coz the internal space for apps is too little for me, but read that the image quality is not that good compared to RN 3g or m2 note... I have Redmi Note 3g and Note 2 prime .My Antutu test is 32K for note 3g and 49K for note 2 prime. What do you think ? Camera wise I believe both use the same parts from Sunny Optic , China , another word Samsung or even Meizu phone are better. It's just my personal judgement. Some may not agree. |

QUOTE(pac1 @ Nov 30 2015, 11:32 PM) as for phone performance, i know there's an improvement over the rn 3g, futhermore, the phone performance on rn 3g is already suffice for me... but my main concern is the camera quality, I've read quite some reviews stating Meizu's camera is better than redmi note... Hi pac1 , the picture quality is just slightly less better than the Meizu. For general photo shoot , it's still OK. You should check out the Xiaomi mi4 if you insist on good photo shoot. Now the price had gone down.* I use my Nikon DLSR for serious photo shoot. |

My redmi note 2 prime come with a modified China rom that already preloaded with Google play store. It is 66.33.77.00 version. This China rom is quite good except when using Bluetooth connection to my Bluetooth speaker , it got cracking sound. So , I decided to use miflash to flash the Hong Kong's global rom 7.0.7.0. After updated , the Bluetooth problem solved and the system run so much better except the Google play store problem as mentioned by many members here. A few days later it auto update 7.0.12.0 but play store problem still exist. Now thinking of flashing to the Global beta rom and see how. Anyone tried this rom before ? Does it had the Google play store problem as well ?

Sorry , forget to highlight that even though the Google play store error messages appeared on the scene but when open the play store , everything seems to work normally , can install whatever applications you want.

It's wrong to get update a week earlier for the new rom before they officially list it in their website. It is as they treat us as beta tester.

If you flash the Hong Kong official rom 7.0.7.0. you will get the update to 7.0.12.0 and this already exist about 1 week ago. Now only officially listed , why don't they listed it up 1 week ago ? Why need to delay 1 week ? What are they thinking ?

QUOTE(Xierra777 @ Dec 8 2015, 01:01 AM) I think regional fraction in updates is indeed normal among Android smartphones. I don't know about other brand but the correct procedure is the rom had to be officially listed at the manufacturer website before anyone get an update irrespective of homeland or oversea customers. How can you push the update 1 week earlier before the official listing ? This is very confusing for some user , example , they heard friends said already got update to new rom but you can't find the new rom at the official website. Most of the time, homeland for respective brand will gets it first. Unlike Apple, they update iOS for all supported devices and regions in one shot. |

QUOTE(Xierra777 @ Dec 8 2015, 01:44 AM) Xiaomi assumes everyone is using local set which is pre-loaded with same firmware so everyone will get OTA around the same time. Those who bought import sets with slightly different firmware and wondering why they get the updates faster is their own fault, not Xiaomi. "You paid a very reasonable price for such an amazing smartphone for its class." This is the only contention I cannot argue about. But it's still unethical for not following the correct procedures. Btw , Xiaomi is not a small fly , it is a billion dollars corporations. It doesn't matter if Xiaomi decides to upload the file on website or not as long as the ROM is already approved stable and safe by developers. The listed ones usually for those who wants to download older ROM and downgrade to previous version if by any chance they're not happy with current ROM I know the system isn't flawless, but one should expect this imperfection from a barely 5 years old company that didn't take too much profit out of their products to actually able to hire better employees like other tier 1 companies. So, I guess this is not a big deal. You paid a very reasonable price for such an amazing smartphone for its class. Don't expect premium service for cheap. |

Samsung is so hightech and powerful that they treat their customers as fool who don't know how to download and install rom from their website. That's why they push the update to you automatically. They don't expect you to know about their phone technically. And 1 more thing , how often do samsung update their phone ?

Read carefully what I wrote earlier, what I mean is that , Xiaomi should have listed the new rom before pushing it OTA to customer. And that is only thing that I am not satisfy.
