So, I web chat with Xiaomi support, I send them my imei # and serial #.
They confirm the unit that I bought from Lazada is under Xiaomi Malaysia warranty, can repair at any Xiaomi Malaysia service center.

good for you
*
At 1st they keep saying no sales record, as it is not bought from their official online store.
I told them is bought from Lazada online store.

Then, I take a picture on both the imei and serial number sticker on the back of the phone for them, then they confirm for me.
They mention I no need register the phone with my personal detail for the warranty.

During my last chat with them on IMEI/warranty, they said that they could not provide that to me.  sad.gif
*
I try now also la, they don't want to show me.
But they insist this is under Malaysia warranty.
Just bring the phone with the box to service center will be ok.

Others have already said earlier that the set sold and fulfilled by Lazada is Malaysian set.

I have email confirmation from Lazada stating that it is a Malaysian set and has 1 year warranty which can be claimed from Xiaomi Malaysia if there is a problem.

However calling Xiaomi customer service at 1-800-281-182, first they said its an authentic set from China and its a global set and thus not covered under Malaysian warranty. After telling them what Lazada said and showing the product webpage where the warranty is stated, they said they will check on it and email me.

I then called the service center at 03-21105184 . They checked the IMEI and said it was a Malaysian set and under warranty, just bring the receipt.

2 days later I called back 1-800-281-182 as I did not get any email from them. This time, they checked the IMEI and said it was a local set and covered by warranty and sorry for the confusion.

So if can get RM50-100 discount and covered by warranty, that's good.

Ok la. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

How do you guys wake up Redmi Note 2? Are you using power/volume button? Or 3rd party apps? Any good recommendation? I just hope next MIUI update for Redmi Note 2 has DT2W feature.
*
I am using the power button.

DT2W (double tap to wake) only available for LG, OPPO, ASUS, Meizu, Oneplus.
All having different implementation.

So far satisfied with the OPPO implementation (OPPO Find 7), which can double tap on the "Home" button or at the screen. (Double on the screen to wake, then can double tap on "Home" button to off screen)
The response of doing so is very fast.

ASUS one, only can off the screen by double tapping the screen at "Home" screen.
When ever you are opening the apps, it can't turn screen by double tap the screen.
Slower response compare to OPPO.

Any 3rd party camera app u guys can suggest? Maybe the one that got tilt shift?
*
I don't recommend using 3rd party camera apps
Because I try before many 3rd party camera apps, they significantly much slower than stock camera apps.
They also crash quite often.

But their image result actually is better than stock camera apps, much lower noise, much better night shoot.

I only try 3rd party camera apps on one of my low end tablet.

This is the first time I use benchmarking apps. Since some of us are taking the numbers seriously and I got nothing to do. laugh.gif

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

*
Because those number are used by many reviewer site to compare the phone performance, and buyer actually refer these number as buying guide.

In fact, those number actually quite pointless, as it doesn't reflect real life usage of phone.
Software optimization also will make a phone smooth.
There is also cheating in benchmarking, where some phone actually will over clock the processor in benchmark mode.

of course cannot la  doh.gif

Correct, of course cannot plug in, different part number, different Mah rating too.
Just wait until the official battery on sales.

My point of posting this just as a reference price, may be the original Redmi Note 2 battery will be just as cheap, or a little more expensive than this.
So, it is possible they can sell as cheap as RM20.

Ya... Dunno if Xiaomi service center got sell or not.
Mostly original battery is sold at service center.

OPPO Find 7 original battery is only RM60.

After a few day using, quite satisfy with the phone.
Screen after set to "Cool" mode, not notice the yellowish anymore. (Still there, but now is usable)

Battery life is average, but at this price, no complain, already buy a cheap power bank for backup.
Heating actually is non-issue for me. Because I have experienced other phone that has worse heating, this phone heating consider normal.
There is no brand label on the front, which I like it where I can ask people what phone actually am I using. brows.gif

5.5", Full HD, 16GB, 2GB RAM, Micro SD card slot, removable battery, dual sim, 4G, MTK Helio X10 Processor, all comes in just RM649.
No complain already.
It is also a proper smartphone with proper hardware key (you get full screen application usage), and the hardware key do light up at dark environment use (unlike Zenfone and Levono A7000 Plus)

Recommend or not recommend is personal taste.
It is not a replacement for high end smartphone, it is just the best smartphone at it's own price category, which is actually usable. (Not a cheap knock off product)

You can insert the card into RN2, then go to "Storage", choose "Erase SD Card", let RN2 to format the card to FAT32 format.

I bought the same 64GB card as you, now already working on RN2 without problem.

http://www.lazada.com.my/xiaomi-pocket-siz...ld-7583003.html

Only this model can read SD card, and Line In, but not sure USB drive can read.
But it is 2 times more expensive.
