well i need to stress out that every hedgie that is born got their own individual behavior, even if they birth from the same batch of mom and dad, all of them different, same like us human. So no matter how much time you spent with them, some would be less tame than others, some get really fond of their owners while some kinda like the opposite.

Try put them in a dark box while travelling. Darker place won't stress them too much. They feel better in darker place. You can try use shoe box to travel them back. Put some newspaper inside. But remember to make holes for air ventilation.
