QUOTE(yott-chan @ Dec 28 2006, 09:37 PM) both... would love to have a family of hedgies. Let's say you are getting a pair, are you ready to provide two big containers for each of them. And when the female hedgie gives birth and you're going to keep the babies, can you provide every each of them a cage of their own? Hedgehogs are solitary animals and they don't like to share their cage with other hedgehogs. And you have to seperate the male and female hedgehog as male hedgehogs are horny and female hedgehog is limited to give birth 2-3 times a year.

Yott-Chan, the standard market price is RM280 now. Like sangterap said, get one first and see if you like to keep hedgie first while learning before you're getting another one. And hope that you don't breed hedgies for money

QUOTE(akachester @ Jan 15 2007, 04:48 PM) LOL..its not inside.. ..Its actually outsite, nearby the quills area but its already completely healed.Even during the pimple infection time, he is still very active.Just bought a new pack of Go Natural for him.Might change his diet soon.He is a big eater..Like around 1 - 1 1/2 pack of cat food every month..lol... Anyway, just feel that he is becoming quite tame already.Still let me hold him quite for quite some time if the position is right before running away again... Shit, i owes though it's inside Din read carefully... paiseh ar

Har? First time i hear ppl put stone inside the cage to think that the hedgie will trim their nails with the stone.
Hidebox is still ok lar... at least the hedgie feels secure with a place to sleep inside...

Vio, I dont think you have other options but to give your hedgie pre-soaked kibbles. What done is done, and soaked kibbles shouldn't be any problem to a teethless hedgie. You rather be doing more job by getting the kibbles soak everytime or lose your little friend there? Remember to take the stone away if you haven't do it.
