sure can ask, but u can head straight down to the garage sales section for posting of pets for sale.
Good luck looking for one and I hope you have done the necessary research. I actually have 1 male available. But I will ask the buyer a lot of questions like interview before I decide to release him. Some buyers dun like people asking too many questions which is also good for me because that shows how much they care about the animal itself. I still contemplating if to sell him or keep for myself because so far 3 people stood me up last minute. That explains my frustration. This post has been edited by sangterap: Jan 11 2007, 03:50 PM |

thanks for the support guys...yeah...we hobbyist have good intention...
My intention is for our hedgehog community to grow. At the moment it is really small. Therefore, the hedgie gene pool also very small. My main objective to breed is also to help widen the gene pool. That is why finding good owners is very important. So that they will be responsible for the hedgie and the future generations of hedgie. Breed for money very easy but hedgie not healthy affects the entire gene pool....what goes around comes around.... |

Bro,
Why looking for more hedgie ke? I thought you already have a pair? Looking for male or female lar bro? QUOTE(max_cavalera @ Jan 16 2007, 06:55 PM) after looking at few petshops it is really a disappointing journey to scout for a good hedgie ;o. This post has been edited by sangterap: Jan 17 2007, 10:19 PMeither the price is incredibly inflated, the hedgie itself is wild, old, poor health conditions and obese(sounds like a package from all the pet shop). seeing this the best bet to get a good deal hedgie now is always from a hobbist breeder. >_> |

QUOTE(Mr. Z @ Apr 15 2007, 01:39 PM) These particular person very lanC, say i shudnt be suspicious when i ask him about the date of birth and ask why he posted this date at 4 months and after 4 months u tell me its 5months (i made a mistake on the date actually after a double check). Mr. Z, the person you refer to as LanC is me and I believe I have my good reason to be. Since that many people are not sincere. Ask a lot but in the end wasting time.buy animal must check one ma... if not how i know leh? If you are looking for a nice hedgie, feel free to ask fellow forumers here what they think about the PLANETEERS...... I am sure you can see your "potential" pet hedgie's history from this thread as well. So are you going to be part of its future, up to you. And yes, people, I am being very picky about who's bringing HEART home. Believe that he needs a good home. So lansi is a good way to test potential new owners. If they can withstand means they are really interested, anyone disagrees? |

QUOTE(Mr. Z @ Apr 15 2007, 08:23 PM) I believe this approach is wrong, giving a mean attitude is showing that u are not much more different than the petstore owner who doesnt give a damn about their hedgie.. for a minute there, i thought he might be some wholeseller and those who bundle their hedgie in whole... Bro,And on top of that, those who are able to withstand mean attitude doesnt shows that he/she is a caring owner, it could be sign that he is desperate for one and would put up with any nonsense that the seller is giving him... The future of the hedgie after that is another story... So, my conclusion is, i m not those who can tolerate bad customer service.. I boycott alot of shops who show me that attitude, and only patron those who give me excellent customer service even if its slightly more expensive.. And final note, i m not shooting anyone here, so no harm done and no hard feelings.. You also have to understand that as much you want your value for money, we are no desperate sellers as well. My main intention is to get a good home so that good quality pets are passed to the right people.People who truly appreciates and love them. Most of the forumers here cares a great deal about their pets and treats them as part of their family. And they have nurtured their pets to their best potential. You cannot deny the fact that they are still people with the mentality of a pet is just a pet. For example, a dog is still a dog, they treat them without respect and dignity. I do not like to hear after a few months down the road that the pet has been given to someone. I definitely do not like people who does not do their homework and just get because they are cute. How many cute animals had died in the hands of irresponsible owner. As we speak there are pets suffering due to ignorance. If you want good customer service, you can always get it. That's after the sale has been made. Right now, in the initial stage, attitude counts for me. |

Mr. Z,
If you need to have after sales service after getting the pet, I believe that is not a good sign. It is either you did not do enough research or there is something wrong with the pet you bought. Please do not compare me to those pet shops. They are not even close and in different league altogether. We advice based on experience and even vets cannot advice you better than most of us here in this forum when it comes to exotics. To me life is very simple. It is either YES or NO. Problem occurs when you have MAYBE. Sorry, I am bluntly straight forward. That's just the way I am. I do not like dilly dally, ask and see first. Well, in the end, just as expected, we might have just wasted time typing long emails to each other. But happy to get to know you anyway. No heart feelings. Reanne, I did not scold anyone. I do not consider that as scolding also. Just telling the truth. This post has been edited by sangterap: Apr 15 2007, 11:15 PM |
