QUOTE(julnoel @ Dec 19 2006, 01:33 PM) okie! They consider easy to jaga if you follow the info in first 2posts. Some more they sleep most of the time. You can see here that all of us hold our hedgies with our bare hand. No prob with its quills.oh well im not too sure either, they look kinda hard to jaga, more with the spikes and stuff :/ This post has been edited by babymoli: Dec 19 2006, 05:03 PM |

QUOTE(julnoel @ Dec 19 2006, 01:33 PM) okie! Well, if you ask for opinion here, most of us would be grateful if you would know the information about hedgehog first before decided to take care of one. When you have all the info needed, taking care of them is kinda easy. They will sleep most of the time and does not need alot of attention.Just needed to clean up the tanks and check their health when you got it..lol...oh well im not too sure either, they look kinda hard to jaga, more with the spikes and stuff :/ Anyway, about the quills, i guess it depends on different persons though..You will need time to get used to it.I tried to hold Ren last time but the quills is kinda pointy and painful but when you get used to it or know how to pick them up in a correct way, it wont be a problem.. So far the only word i notice from you is "HARD to JAGA". I think the best you don't get a hedgehog. When there is doubt, you better not venture into it. Coz you don't seemed to be interested at all. If you have done the necessary research and feel that you want to learn and commit to jaga one, then it will not be hard for you.
Before a baby learn how to walk i wonder if he/she will tell him or herself if it is hard to walk.... QUOTE(julnoel @ Dec 19 2006, 01:33 PM) |

wud about nail trimming?? Will the hedgie sits quietly for you to trim ?? Or will it struggle?? My main concern is nail trimming and bathing ...
Thought of getting a hedgie in a couple of months. But not much info found in the internet on proper care except bedding and food. |

QUOTE(Syrian @ Dec 19 2006, 05:03 PM) Actually you can read up the first 2posts to get info about hedgehogs. We learn most of it from that website & do our own research. Please dont stick to one website cause some will give wrong message. Compare few of them see whether they give the same or similar info. This post has been edited by babymoli: Dec 19 2006, 05:18 PM |

QUOTE(Syrian @ Dec 19 2006, 05:30 PM) I've read from quite some websites including the one posted by hao in the first page You would never able to trim a hedgehog's nails in one shot. Sure you need few times to trim it. It is better to trim the nails after bath as the nails have been soften. How you trim the nails depend on you as well like how well you know your hedgie. Some hedgie are just nonstop walker. They are active like Ren. Cant stay still. This post has been edited by babymoli: Dec 19 2006, 05:43 PM |

QUOTE(Syrian @ Dec 19 2006, 05:42 PM) its hard to trim if they keep on walking or they keep curling. grumpy hedgie is almost impossible, but some can. if they are friendly and doesnt struggle, u can trim then. like it had been mention, trim them after bath, coz its when the hedgie's nails are soften. cheers... i am trying to let my jojo swim now. hhee... |
