Even the vet I go to do not dare jab... coz he said a slight wrong dosage can coz death..... it is better for experience vets....

Anyway, what you spray in the container? Frontline as well?

Mites love to stay in woodshavings.... during mite treatment, you have to constantly change wood shavings or just use newspaper like Hao said.

Also scratching could be just a sign of irritation, the mites would have already died with the treatment. It takes 2 weeks to recover, not overnight miracle hahaha.

You put both in the same container? If 1 has mites, you should not even house them in the same room coz the mites spread very fast wan.

No, you do not need to spray frontline in the container lah.... coz you said spray.... I thought spray what....

Oh... when got mites, should not be side by side.... got possibility of the younger one getting infected by mites since it can spread fast.

Cloth and towels are the best bedding. Keep on that, sure no mites hahaah....

Another alternative is the recycled newspaper bedding called Breeder's Celect.... that is also good to use, won't cause mites. Besided BC... can also get Healthy Pet, similar like BC... both of these can buy from Pet Safari and price is at a range between Rm16.80 to RM22 for 6L.

Yes... cloth can only last 2 to 3 days.... and the towel or cloth has to be something like tshirt material... no lopes or stringy bits... must be smooth and clean.

for the BC..how many days need to change? i was thinking of changing also
*
BC you only change it when smelly..... the best is checking everyday for poo.... see the dried poo, pick it up and throw.... then the bedding will last longer.

Pee on poo? hahahaha... But hor, from my experience, i nvr see the pee will mix with the poo, by the time the pee came out, it's alrdy absorb by the woodshavings before it can reach the poo, and if you look closely, when the poo came out, it's directly to the back while the pee is going downwards, so there's still some distance before they'll mix up laugh.gif
*
Hahah.... my hedgehogs different.... Crinkles likes to pee and poo around the food bowl, same as Sparky.... Donut won't lah.... but then this is also from my experience with Breeder's Celect....

Heheh.... no blood relation but I like his colour.. but I think could be the brother of Mr.Z's Mika coz from the same breeder.

3 hedgehogs finish my food faster... but all 3 different personalities hahaha... I like.

Yah, all the claws sure got poo... become poopy feet.... Need to get another wheel... LOL... must wait for money to get more wheels so all my hedgies can have 1 each.

Yah, fat hedgies can die faster..... anyway, the most important thing is the exercise.... that is why hedgies need a wheel coz we are feeding them high protein diets.

If you do not have wheel, then you let your hedgie walk around your room everyday loh. They need to walk around to burn their energy.

Do not use the 8 inch wheel... that is for hamsters. Get the biggest, RM61 for it. The wheel has a stand so it can perfectly fit into a large storage box.

White with red eye are albinos.... red eye gene...
dark eyed white.... you won't get here unless you import coz it is another gene. The hedgehogs here do not have. Closest to that colour would be snowflake, which we do have here but rare and snowflake can only tell once adult coz when hoglet, they look like normal S&P.
