anybody encounter slight drop of rpm when accelerating?

example like i drop 1 gear, rpm will shoot up and continue accelerating. after maybe 200-300rpm then it drops about 150rpm before going up again. probably during cruising speed like 90km/h onwards. didn't notice this when slower.

frust gila when wanna overtake dry.gif

I think it's the stupid compressor.
*
aircond compressor? it doesn't feel like it though but possible.

when the compressor kicks in, the power dip is more obvious than what i encountered. i wonder if it's the "toto" body that is dirty and causing this. 85k km and haven't cleaned it once laugh.gif . planning to do it at 100k.

Ok guys. Now when reverse brake no sound. But moving forward low speed brake got sound. Sound start noticeable at speed 60kmh below.

Most of the time is krok krok krok krok sound. Sometimes like got metal sound. Den got one is squeaking sound. Got a few tines is ngek ngek soubd. Issit brake pad problem ? Brake performance is okay jz the sound abit annoying. Already skim the disc btw

One more more thing is, sometime when I'm on uneven road, I can hear jit jit jit sound like rat lol
*
so many types of sounds

sounds like your car is having a good time..if you know what i mean brows.gif brows.gif

the jit jit jit rat sound is caused by metal parts rubbing with each other. in other words, something is loose. could be the seat bolts if u take it out before. happened to me last time after install sound system. Howie forgot to fully tighten 1 bolt of the passenger front seat laugh.gif. but now got that sound again, lazy to find the rat

Leaking issue is easy to solve. The hard part is only sticking "shields" to cover up parts of the door where water can enter like the door clip holes, or sticking the weather sheet back.
*
weather sheet adhesive might be harden. can use hair dryer to soften it and make it stick again. at least that works for me wink.gif

can you snap photo of where you poke the holes?
mine also leaking recently. weather sheet all 4 doors were sticked tight 2 years ago, don't tell me every 1-2 years need to open door panel to stick again, not a permanent solution. i suspect the water flow is towards inside the door rubber, not a good design...
*
+1

my driver door still leaking after sticked tight with hair dryer heating the adhesives a month ago doh.gif
lucky back passenger door is fine

that's true. over the weekend i traveled about 250km with half a tank. mostly "highways" (LDP, Federal, Sprint) mixed with city driving (PJ, Klang, KL). that's right after a change of engine oil 5W-30 semi.

Nope. I think we will have to drill into the rear lamps to put the bulbs. Other than that I think any accessory shop can help you get it done by using a switch and relays.
Are you on a lowered suspension set-up? How does your car look now?
*
Stock suspension. No big difference la. By calculation, 195/55 only causes the car to be lower by about 10mm compared to 195/60. Tyre looks slightly smaller if you stare at it long enough lol.

QUOTE(J-keyLudacris @ Dec 20 2015, 10:58 AM)
I changed Bridgestone Potenza Adrenaline RE003 drool.gif  RM 230/pc
*
That's Bridgestone's equivalent of PS3 or higher?

My tyre is quite new. 4x15, forgot it's 43 or 47.
I feel it's more quiet now. Not sure placebo or not but probably real because new tyres at the front.

almost equivalent. some say re003 grip is better than ps3. but re003 is noisy than ps3.

PS 3 treadwear 3xx

re003 cheaper ( 15 inch )

re003 grip better  dry and wet ( persona experience )

ps3 quite , when left 40 % wear will become noisy.
*
grip better probably because threadwear rating lower.

ps3 really quiet now. any tyres when worn out will become noisy i suppose.
need to start budget for another 2 pieces. old tyres makan dalam until inner thread almost botak doh.gif moneyflies.gif

thats cheap!
i always send to workshop for service, normally they charge me rm110 for semi syn.
but if u buy from aeon means u do service yourself?
next time i need to learn how to service myself too
*
you can always buy the engine oil that you want and bring to workshop to change, unless they don't allow.
if you want, can even buy the oil filter together with engine oil

i always bring my own engine oil to the workshop
so they charge me labor + oil filter

i doesnt need any much feature, a stock goodyear nct5 195/60/15 is good enough for me. Today asked a shop at subang ss15, selling at RM240 per donut.
*
NCT5 got so expensive? might as well get Michelin or Bridgestone

QUOTE(rex82 @ Jan 5 2016, 08:56 AM)
Hi all,

What tyre you all been using right now? I'm currently using Yokohama C drive 2 and it almost wear off.

Planning to change CC5 but not sure is it better than CD2. What is the current market price now for CC5 and CD2?

Any advice?
*
Mich PS3 RM235/donut. alignment extra RM25. my rear tyres are CD2.
but PS3 is 195/55 and CD2 is 195/60. so my front now a little bit lower but i cannot notice also. by calculation should be 10mm lower.

Inspira thread macam condemning CC5 saying sampah..the few posts that i read la, others tatau laugh.gif

QUOTE(1133 @ Jan 5 2016, 11:14 AM)
My New Persona brake is having inconsistent performance, sometime it will feel some vibration while braking, sometime it won't. All at about same speed.
And sometime when brake at higher speed, it seems like the brake wasn't sharp enough and will drag very long way to slow down.
It feel like exactly what I have with my old Pesona with rear drum brake, aren't new disc brake with ABS will have better performance?

Also, found the stock Silverstone tyre was very loud compare to my old XM2, dunno if go exchange will cost a lot or not.
*
maybe because higher temperature? i did experienced that after downhill from karak in a slightly faster pace.

My old persona also having same issue, but after I change to new disc and also change the brake pad to Bandix, it immediately improve a lot.
but I thought new persona had make improvement on the brake since they throw in ABS n all disc brake.
*
persona standard? ori pad?

i did experienced that on ori pads. didn't go long stretch downhill after changing so i'm not sure.
the discs should be the same as the old versions. ABS helps with braking, doesn't mean the temperature won't hike up.
