Hi guys, I recently bought a used Persona Elegance 2010 (A) H-Line, absolutely love the car.
Wondering is there an official ECU update that I can do at Proton SC? Everything about the car top to bottom is totally fine, one small thing is the car downshifts pretty easily even very light footing, I usually have to let go of the pedal briefly to shift it back to a higher gear.
Even if this problem not cannot be solved, any benefit from updating ECU if any?

Hi friends,
I have a Persona Elegance 2010 full spec.
Just wondering, anyone know any Proton Persona electronics repair expert?
Some minor annoying issues, all happen together (short circuit suspected, all connected)
1. Main cluster no longer dims when headlights are on (too bright at night). 2. No more beep warning when headlights on, keys out. 3. Switch for front fog lamp not working, but hazard lights & demister still working. 4. Gear panel & aircon no more lights when headlights are on.
Another question: Does Proton service center repair electronics on older cars like mine?
Appreciate any input, thanks!

QUOTE(inferno_17_85 @ Mar 18 2018, 12:56 AM) Electrical issue is one of the thing that most of the workshop not keen to attend because diagnosing it requires a lot of time, and sometimes the fault could be as simple as loosen connector. Not financially rewarding actually. If you can get one workshop doing that for you, cherish it. If cannot, SC is always the best place to go. Downside is they might need you to leave your car there for weeks to check. And they might according to protocol had to remove non original wiring for troubleshooting. Pros is of there's nothing to replace, they don't charge you anything, probably except OBD diagnosing fee, which is peanut compared to the work technician put into your car. Sometimes I wonder should I service my car in sc just to make my conscience feel better. They used to fix my knock sensor engine light issue for me without any charges. Because the problem disappear after they disconnect and connect back every wiring point from ECU to knocking sensor. So SC does tend to older cars? What about accessories shop though, do they have expertise to fix problems like these? Weeks you say, I dont think I can give up my car that long X_X
