QUOTE(vampire_empirez @ Feb 9 2016, 12:47 PM) Alignment & Balancing- Should have done it outside at a reputable tyre shop. My alignment + camber setting for four wheels cost just as much. It should be much cheaper without camber even though the alignment for this car is done for four wheels. Balancing should be around RM20 only for all four wheels. Radiator Coolant(4 Litre) - Is this pre-mixed or concentrated? You only need about 20% ~ 33% of the total radiator capacity of concentrated coolant, and this is about 1 litre+ of coolant only. Gear Oil & Fuel Filter - I think both of these are supposed to be changed at 60,000KM, but I guess it doesn't hurt to change it early. RM81.09 service - What did they do for this? Clean the air-cond filter only? Top up gas? Add compressor oil? QUOTE(ZeroKunz @ Feb 7 2016, 07:27 AM) Do you park on an area with a slight incline or decline? If you always engage P and the handbrake and then only release the brake pedal, your car will be mostly held still by the parking pawl. This is why it can be hard to shift out of the P. Next time engage N and the handbrake, release the foot brake and let the car rest, then only engage P.This post has been edited by TDUEnthusiast: Feb 9 2016, 01:12 PM |

Im quite sure they didn't fully-service the throttle body (take it out, clean each components) because last time i check the throttle body screw mark was still there, meaning they didnt take it out. i think they only spray the cleaning element gas to the TB. |

Persona is one of the easiest car to maintain .
I never brought the car to Proton service centre therefore i already void the right to claim any warranty but i can save much money from after sales. Nvm,the car doesn't have any serious problem and i only replace wear and tear parts. I did my own regular routine check. Normally for normal service for each 10K KM; replace with Eneos 5W-30 semi sync engine oil and oil filter replace normal air filter with K&N.washable and better than stock. U just need to know when to replace the brake pads/fuel filter/coolant/brake oil/ATF/spark plugs/air cond gas/cabin filter/steering fluid/timing belt/absorbers/tyres/battery/valve gasket cover. if i feel the car sluggish than usual;maybe it is time to clean the air filter/TB. try to keep the engine bay as clean as possible be proactive and u will save a lot of money 7 years and on going. The 'Engine tune up' is just a name for Service charge! kind of bullshit. The SC that I used to go always put this engine tune up, if go direct under Proton it show service charge or labour charge. Just put it nicer to show people. They just take the laptop, connect check the error code. Nothing tune! |

Any recommendations? You can consider buying the H-Line Leather seats/covers from Proton, or some compatible leather/PVC covers for the seats which should be cheaper, albeit not that nice in quality. If you're willing to spend over RM2000, you can choose the leather you want and the design as well. Maybe you can get some leather stitched onto the steering wheel too at the same time.I had a card for a company that does custom leather seats for Proton cars, but I don't know where did it go to. |

Not sure how reliable it would be getting stuff through your SA. I'd avoid getting tints from any SA because you might end up paying a lot more than you should. You can try asking your SA to get the H-Line seats and body kit for you if you want.I would like to ask, I love the R3 bodykit and sport rims, does anyone here have a persona with this look? |
