original SE already very low as compared to many other cars

https://www.google.com/search?q=proton+pers...EmWi0E6aDRTyOM:

Normal roads wont calar or anything, but if you go into those rural areas / city slums without proper roads. CONFIRM will calar your front bumper skirts like shit. That's why wondering what can I do to make the front part of the car slightly higher

Even my Iswara front part also higher than my persona SE. Wira still lower tho lol biggrin.gif

Is grounding cable necessary? I visited a car accessories shop and they did an electrical test and said when I on aircond and lights at night, itll be very underpowered. Was quoted 180. Is it a good investment to save fuel and improve audio/ice quality?

The ones that can really do the job well will be worth the money. Erictioh's (forum member) voltage stabiliser is not bad. If you have the cash to spare, ea autowork's Impulse is a must have.

You cannot eliminate the dimming or underpower feeling on the persona though. Air cond compressor takes too much power.
*
hmm.. thanks for your advice.

If no difference in terms of FC/power I think I won't do..no point..save $$$ better tongue.gif

Suppose it's ATF SP3, not the Dexron3. It has some differences in Friction Modifier between these 2.
I guess the Type 4 you mentioned is for Toyota T-IV? Definitely not worth to try, we dunno the long term side effect.
If the ATF is Universal Synthetic/Multi Vehicle type, with SP3 stated in compatibility table, then can try.
*
What about daihatsu type 4?

hi guys,

when changing timing belt, what do SC recommend changing together? water pump, fan belt, belt tensioner and what else?

now noticed that my alternator battery charging voltage (usb charger function) goes low when I on everything (aircond, dash cam, lights radio etc). Battery guy asked me to change the belts.

Water pump at alternate timing belt changes. Apart from that some sc will say belt tensioner no need change but from my experience that will spoil not long after timing belt due.. If got money better change lo..

Alternator part I cannot be sure. Sounds like alternator failing.
*
thanks

what about aircond v belt? do you recommend changing with timing belt + belt tensioner together?

Every now and then, in the early morning when I first start my car-

When I try starting, there will be just a "TAK" sound with all the indicator lights in the dashboard out..but car doesn't start.

Only during the second time it will start. Is it normal? It happens every now and then.

Does Persona have auto gearbox filter?

I've read the old posts in this group and many said no

But by googling it there's actually one inside the gearbox. Do we need to change it?

Not necessary. Need to check first if your engine oil is leaking into coolant tank. Easiest way to check is to open radiator cap and wipe ur finger around the inside of there is some brownish buildup. Water pump only fails if there is too much gunk around the fan blade area or the shaft breaks.
Anyways its only RM70 each. Recommended aftermarket brand to use is GMB.
Yes there is. but to replace it you would need to dismantle ur whole gearbox to get to it. Would suggest doing that every 250k km as a preventive maintenance. Consider doing a mini overhaul for ur gearbox. Price around 1k.
common issues. the wire inside that plastic hose thing on the left of the boot putus. Simple RM30 can kautim in accessory shop. they will pull a new wire for u.
Common issue to come from aircon vent, especially during cold weather or night u will hear the rattle even more prominently. power window frames rattle due to the support bar nut inside the door has became loose. just take off ur door panel and retighten all nuts.
Check your crank angle sensor. Most likely kaput or wire near putus.

I bought in 2016 second hand persona with 400k km+ mileage. For the past two years I've racked up nearly 50K km mileage. But the auto gearbox still going strong, no problems whatsoever.

1k kind of heavy on my pocket cry.gif
