Is the wooong sound very loud ? No solution at all?
With the insulation, it was loud but still acceptable. Without it, the sound is terribly loud and annoying. Luckily it's only when the brakes are not hot.
I think the only solution would be brake pads with proper shims to reduce noise and vibration etc.
Actually what is the actual cause of it? Will affect brake performance? I damn scare one day suddenly brake failed..
Try Googling for sources of brake noise. If the problem lies with the lack of noise reduction material on the pads themselves, I suppose that there's no reason to worry about brake failure.
Thanks. After googling, found that rust on the disc also can cause brake. Somehow my rear disc is very rusty while front discs not rusty at all lol..
Maybe it's because the rear brakes aren't as heavily used as the front pads. Get a bunch of people to sit in your car so that the EBD system will make the rear brakes work harder.
I'm currently searching for a proper brake lubricant, and it seems that it's very difficult to find them in Malaysia. . I'm going to pay a visit to Ace Hardware one day to see what they have to offer.
Hahahahah. Maybe since 99% of the time I drive alone.. Shall take a photo of my PE to set new picture ~
How do u define a proper brake lubricant? how to see whether is good or bad brake lubricant? First time buy own car lol.. So many things duno..still learning.
Well... Proper brake lubricant/grease is what I'm looking for at this point, i.e. one that can resist high temperatures and would not be easily washed off. Good or bad I don't know.
Bendix Ultimate only available for front disc brake , right?
Not sure. Can try enquiring. Why don't you consider other pads like Rapid stop or EBC brake pads? A forumer called Kent Goh @ xd auto parts should be selling them I think.
ahahaha i'm referring to your previously post did mention about those Bendix Ultimate is good for brake performance..
Supposed to be quite good. Based on what I found through searching, no one complains about noise, just brake dust. The other two pads I suggested are around the same price as the Ultimate.

gonna go back to zordaq to change to brembo brake pad, cause the speedex he give me make so loud sound when brake at low speed , duno need to go back how many times this month..btw the boss is friendly enough to handle my problem after office hour...
Did you bed the brake pads properly? If they are new and they are squealing occasionally you might just need to bed them by going beyond 80KM/H and applying the brakes moderately hard until the vehicle almost stops, then repeat the cycle a few more times.

Bought new that time no such issue, some foreman told me is steering column pr steering rack, some say is engine mounting. Really doubt which is the correct one.
Any idea guys ?
I suspect it's just the mountings. Probably still won't be as vibration free as when the car was new due to engine wear and tear but it should eliminate most of it.

Recently I just changed my front anti roll bar bush at shop. Cornering now is good , lotus handling is back. before changed the bush, during cornering you can slightly feel that the car have a bit shake, feel also not sharp.
After that , I self changing the rear anti roll bar bush and front absorber link. Now the cornering power better, back to top performance when getting the car, even using lousy tyre haha
How difficult is it to replace the front ARB bush?
what is the function of anti roll bar? give Persona more stable and improve cornering a lot or just slightly better compare to stock Persona SV? thanks
The Persona comes with a front and rear ARB by default.
what others upgrade to add ? 1.change front brake pad to better brand(Bendix ultimate in planning) 2.? 3.? 4.tyre
1. Better brake pads 2. Better tyres
Then move on to whatever you want.

so what is the function of stabilizer bar?
I mean not much difference from the original rear anti roll bar. For my car the larger anti roll bar also seems to have introduced some metal flex/creak noise which occurs from time to time when turning.
Replaced my left front door lock actuator today. Supposed to be easy but the three screws that secure the door latch have what I believe to be blue locktite on them, so they're a PITA to remove even with the right screw driver. Can't squeeze the actuator back into its position either without removing the door latch since there isn't enough space to manoeuvre about. You need to twist and lock the actuator into position.
Also just realised that the music in the cabin leaks out quite a fair bit for my car at over volume 15. Not sure if it's originally like that, or is a result of replacing the door and window seals. At volume 20+ anyone standing near front doors can hear the music very clearly.

These are the sound from my front wheel when turning steering... this happened after i did wheel bearing changed.
the sound like ngek ngek ngek.. sometime it will have knock sound when doing parking
might need to use earphone and turn up the volume.
Sounds like a creaking boat. Bring it back to the workshop for further diagnosis I guess. Last time when my father replaced his Perdana's drive shaft there was this zinggg noise when he accelerates. Couldn't figure out where it was from... until the wheel came off with the drive shaft or something like that.
