Does anyone know how to permanently set the AC to the internal air re-circulation mode.
I clicked the air re-circulation button but it automatically reverts to the default external air supply after about 40 mins...  laugh.gif shakehead.gif

What can I do to prevent this...??  The scent of smoke is invading the cabin...    icon_question.gif

I get your point.
However, there are countless other cars that allow the internal air re-circulation to be on permanently. hmm.gif

Honestly, I agree with you... The E300 does fall short of expectations... nod.gif
My dad still prefers to use our 2011 Sonata instead of the new E300.

Personally, I find the rear seats very stiff and uncomfortable.

Our Passat CC is similar. However, you just need to press the internal air-recirculation button once when you turn on the AC.
It will stay on until you switch off the engine. nod.gif

Its bad to keep recirculating especially if u drive like 5-6 hours non stop, dat is why some cars r set to off the recirculation after some time to allow fresh air to come in n replace the stale air inside

At first i oso duno n feel annoyed why my car oso off recirculation by itself, but after reading the manual oni i noe tje purpose

Air recirculation mode
Switch to air recirculation mode to preventunpleasant odors from entering the vehiclefrom the outside. This setting cuts off theintake of outside air and recirculates theair in the passenger compartment.Warning! When the outside temperature is below41°F (5°C), only switch to air recirculationmode for short periods to prevent windowfogging.

ActivatingPress button Ð ( page 102).The indicator lamp on the Ð buttoncomes on.iThe air recirculation mode is activatedautomatically at high outside tempera-tures.106

Deactivating
Press button Ð ( page 102).The indicator lamp on the Ð buttongoes out.The air recirculation mode is deactivated automatically:
after five minutes if the outside temper-Gature is below approximately 41°F(5°C)
after five minutes if the air conditioning is turned off
after 30 minutes if the outside temper-ature is above approximately 41°F(5°C)
At outside temperatures above 79°F(26°C), the system will not automatically switch back to outside air. A quantity ofoutside air is added after approximately30 minutes

on a serious note yes......it can be due to that

coz benz have such a tight seal cabin....which noise also hard to get in...so does fresh air.

japanese dont have.....coz is not really that tight seal laugh.gif can heard wind noise everywhere when driving

So basically, the car will decide how long to allow air re-circulation depending on the outside temperature. doh.gif
I was hoping that there would be a manual override function.. laugh.gif

Thanks anyway.. smile.gif

its a feature. in EU they dont like to drive in recirc and we are always fighting with the guys in US and Asia who want recirc mode on all the time.

depending on your model, it might be possible to get the latest asia specific calibration update
