hello! im planning to buy a folding bike for some light exercise and to commute. And the area I will be riding around is kinda hilly as well. Budget at most rm1500 and I doubt i'll be doing much upgrade to it so gonna just ride it stock. Any recommendation?

Brand new Tern Verge N8 for RM3250 and Dahon Boardwalk for RM1840 considered cheap and the specs worth the money? Sorry I really dunno much bout bike and all so need pointers from sifu here. Can these 2 models do touring as well? Tempted with either brompton or Tern Verge S27H but the prices totally overkill my budget.

nah...not comparing those 2, rather the price i got offered for those 2 bikes, i have no idea if both bikes actually worth the amount i got offered.

Oh yea and a friend of mine told me NOT to get 7 speed but 8 speed and above bikes so it won't cost alot more if i plan to upgrade it to higher speed hence i increased my budget a little.

I think within my budget I can go for either Vitesse D8 or Boardwalk D8 if both are able to be upgraded to higher gears without changing lotsa parts unless any sifu here able to help me with other better bikes which is within the price range.

Awesome! Definitely gonna get 8 speed bike for sure. Dunno much bout the material used for those frames, but will Boardwalk or Vitesse able to handle around 60km tour and a little hill climbing?

Somehow I'm leaning more towards Boardwalk due to the looks rather and since u mentioned it provides more comfy ride due to the material =P. Only thing I'm worry now is that both Boardwalk and Vitesse unable to handle long distance rides.
