Newbie here, trying to get into cycling and a couple questions I need help from all sifus here;

1. What brand and pricing of bike should I get for a beginner?
2. I'm planning to join a charity ride in this year end in Cambodia, should I get a bike that is fold-able or I can just check in the full bike from airport?
3. What other gears do I need? Helmet, sports wear, shoes, sun-glasses anymore?

Anything else I should know beforehand as well?

Entry level road bike will do, I did some research brands like Polygon? I assume budget around 2-3K?

It's not for single ride, will ride on a regular basis and there will be no support car as it's not organize by bike EO, more like company charity program.
