may i know is your interview successful for 25minutes?
- what are the questions being ask?
- how many interviewer?
- what position is that?

Let's share.

There's a survey stated: The first 30seconds to 1minute is the key session to decide you get the job or not smile.gif tongue.gif
So, after 1minutes, the interviewer just want to reconfirm whether they made the correct decision or not...??? smile.gif

whao, the one who vote for k)> 1hour 30minutes, pls share your interesting experience.

So far after graduate only 2 interview:

The longest = about 1 hour and 30 minutes (1 interviewer)
The quikest = 25 minute (1 interviewer)

Both also successful..I'm in engineering field, so all the question is related to technical (especially the longest interview...very very technical.. bruce.gif )

The interviews I've had usually not more than 45 minutes

5 minutes to introduce myself, 20 minutes for interviewer to ask question and probably another 20 minutes for interviewer to talk about the company culture and benefits.

Just a contribution...
I had an interview with Intel MSC. The interview consisted of a 30 minute written programming test (which I flunked spectacularly) and 90 minutes of interview. Roughly one hour was on general stuff (i.e. past projects, my opinions on project management issues, etc.) and another half and hour was on programming languages, architecture, etc. Damn mentally exhausting.

Another interview with Ernst & Young for IT auditor position. I attended 2 interviews (bypassed the third one). Each interview was about an hour or so. The first interview was more on personality and educational/co-curricular background. The second one was more on the job spec. Mostly general discussion on the IT auditing field itself and went through some scenarios. It was a very interesting interview as I'm not familiar with the IT auditing industry. So I learnt a lot from the interview.

Finally, I had an interview with a consulting company. I think it was over an hour as well. The entire interview was a discussion on the previous projects that I have worked on and how I dealt with the issues that cropped up. Had a great time. Anyway, I enjoy attending interviews. It's a good opportunity to find out more about the industry.

Even for some test engineers post, they also ask about programming knowledge and even write simple, short program on the spot.

If you're not able to proceed, they'll be more lenient by asking you to describe or to create a template.

last two weeks i went interview at one of game studio in malaysia for multimedia designer job, hmm, quite fast thou, i think about 30 minutes, not so serious interview session, jz like showcasing my portfolio, explain to the interviewer, and he quite pleased about my works.

i din feel any nervous, coz the interviewer very nice, and what? the next day, they confirmed me already

last time interview for internship oso quite fast, maybe the company i apply is those small/medium company, so can very fast settle the thing.

For my current job, I think if combined 1st interview, 2nd interview, then close to 3 hours.

1st interview, there was a test involved. Then after the test, talked with the manager and the HR people about the job scope. After talking to them, I had to go and see the unit director.

Then to be confirmed, need to be interviewed by Group Management Committee. Another hour or so.

Writing/typing this down itself is so tiring. I wonder how I went through all of that and came out okay...

so far only 4 interview..

1st - more than 3hours (current job)
2nd - almost 1 hour (reject d offer)
3rd - less 10minutes (wut do u expect tongue.gif)
4th - near 1 hour (passed for 2nd interview but again, i reject)

actually.. u can know whether u secure the job or not by judging ur interview session.
if 30min or more.. than u stand a chance..
but if only 10minutes session, seriously u can kiss that job goodbye biggrin.gif
provided its aa big comp laa.. if small small one diff story..

longer session, more chance to speak maa.. thus more chance to show off.. thats the truth tongue.gif
thats why i dont believe in walk-in interview.. only few minutes talking n ur done.
its better when they held the session just for you and you alone.
that is when ur interview session will be a looong one..

the longest interview session for me was an hour .. well if you spent one whole hour talking about your experiences and what you can do for that company, i would say it's quite a bit to deliver .. tough time to last for an hour but i do enjoy going to interviews to understand more about other companies and how people do their jobs ..

All my interviews are usually around 1 hour.

15 minutes??? How did you do that? I mean, that's really quick! For myself I think that's as much as answering only "Tell me about yourself" and "Why do you apply for this job?"... Can cover everything meh? Haven't even started on you asking the employer the questions about the company.

Exceeds ONE (1) hour marathon interview: 3 interviewers. English man (Consultant), Chinese man (Managing Director), and a Chinese Lady (Finance Director) SME (Nailed that job)

Approximately ONE (1) hour interview: 1 interviewer. Chinese man (Managing Director). Complimented me on my attire. (very well dressed and looks professional) SME (Got that job 2 days after the interview)

Shortest interview: 30-45 minutes (2nd interview): 2 interviewers. Malay man (HR Manager), Japanese man (Group Project Manager) MNC (Crashed and Burned) There's only two candidate left for 2nd interview. Me and another Masters holder.

The most unforgettable/unforgiving interview: 40 minutes: 3 interviewers. Interviewed for Tenancy Administration Executive position. MNC (Nope...didn't cut it through)

The Vēnī, vīdī, vīcī interview
: 1 interviewer (HR Manager). Very straight, very direct and got the job in one quick shot. MNC (Got the job there and then)

The saddest case interview: 1 interviewer (Company Director). Agreed in the interview but I rejected his kind offer due to location. MNC (Felt sorry about it but, well, I need to move on...)

Regards, Joey

mine is always 40 minutes or so

and I've been successful on most occasion..

Out of 6 interviews, I only didn't get one..I avoid tech questions like plague..and considering I'm interviewing for eng position..that's pretty difficult to avoid
