i m noob in oc...so,i need some advise from u all..thanks 1st..

cirrently i m using 2ddr...1 is 333mhz n the other is 400mhz....so,my ram shd b run in 333mhz rite?but now i wan 2 kno whether i can oc my ram to 400mhz onot?if yes...will this affect my ram performance?

u cant oc like that..

to oc ram, u need the same speed ram..

wrong, there's a possiblity there. find out d max speed + loosest timin of d ddr333 1st (check d vdimm needed too), then check whether d ddr400 is capable of doin d same thing. sum luck needed thou for both to work togather. smile.gif

I think there shouldn't be any problem for the DDR400 to run looser timings. It's just whether the DDR333 can do DDR400 at loose timings.
If the DDR333 can run DDR400 under loose timings, then it shouldn;t be a problem.

u only need 2 sticks of ram that same speed only for running in dual channel mode.. if diff speed still can oc.. it's just how far ddr333mhz can reach..

yup just set ddr timings in bios.. try finding the maximum ddr333mhz can go 1st with loose timing.. what mobo are u using? what psu? n what kind of chip on ur ram?
