Budget 3-5k
Specs, at least a graphic card

Aim: To be able to play most games [no need high resolution as long low lag]
Purpose: For student who is going to Australia. Need to carry laptop around. Can't be too bulky. Don't need optical drive

Hey kacakboy,

With your budget you do have quite a few choices from the entry level gaming notebooks with 950M graphic cards to the mid range 960M.

One good choice is the GE72 6QC Apache @RM4,499 or GE62 6QC @RM4,399
Both come with Skylake i7-6700HQ+HM170 and Nvidia Geforce GTX 960M, 2GB GDDR5
DDR4 4GB and 1TB SATA HDD (7200rpm)

Only difference is that the GE72 6QC is a 17.3" FHD IPS Anti-Glare panel while the GE62 6QC is a 15.6" FHD IPS, Anti-Glare with Vivid Color.

You can compare its gaming features with other brands and see the major difference.

MSI provide the features that needed by gamers meanwhile other do not have (like Killer Lan, dynaudio, steel series KB and etc). u can find out more details about GE62 6QC with lastest skylake technology. thumbup.gif

If you're really into a laptop that lasts a minimum for 5 years, then you really should invest in a Clevo barebones.

unless MXM based GPUs have a radical change (like between 980M and 980 MXM format) and a completely different plug, buying a laptop with built in GPU (soldered) ones are just asking for trouble in the long term post-warranty.

Australia does sell Clevo barebones, but their price ain't cheaper than Malaysian reseller for Clevo (unless you get heavily discounted models)
