Looks like in your mind you are already set to buy S.Galaxy Note 3
But do note *pun intended* that by buying second hand, the warranty given won't be as long as you want, and might be a problem it breaks down.

S Pen vs Finger print sensor

Both are cool, but S pen has more features , true, but then according to my observation of my friends that use the S Pen, it's just there as a decoration/stylus. Whereas using the fingerprint you are surely bound to use it everytime

What about your screen on time? I get around 6.5 hours ( YouTube + web browsing ) Using stock ROM from Lazada seller

And yes I totally agree, Redmi Note 3 Pro is worth the wait
Camera performance to me quite disappointing, but it's you get from a budget device.
RN3P on the other hand has a much better sensor and will ( hopefully) be released in Malaysia

Anyone notice the phone takes quite long to turn on the screen ( pressing power button or so takes 0.5-1.5 seconds to light up )

That's why the fingerprint scanner is abit slow for me. The time is mostly used to turn the screen on, after turning on using powerbutton and then unlock using the scanner. It's almost instant!

Using 7.00.16.00 ROM by vendor ( included bloatware but solved most of the problems encountered by others )


Should I root and flash sphinx?

It takes around 1 second if I use the scanner when its locked and the screen is off, but almost instant when the screen is on.
Could it be ROM issue? I've disabled all of the bloatware too.

From my tests it's the same whether I've stop using it for an hour or I just turned it off a second ago, takes 0.5-1 second to turn to LCD screen on. It's much slower than the review units I saw online. The fingerprint is fast, but the screen is not
