what amount free ram u have when not running any app at all?mine using 3gb model only got 1.5 - 1.7gb...so much ram used....mine from 1gadget

My RN2 prime has more powerful cpu than RN3, has micro SD expansion, can replace new battery when it gets weak in a year... 

of course RN3 has great battery life, metal casing and finger print la.

is it a joke that you sold mi4i for redmi note3?  i found the camera of rn3 is horrible no autofocus when shoot the book words or view on mobile phone display. 5/10. compared with mi4i which i rate 8/10

dont forget rn3 has lousy sound speaker too haha..very lousy. i am sad bay. mi4i has a good speaker sound. finger print for what? finger print loust when your smartphone at sleep mode then you need to restart it

actually i think the finger print sensor is one of the best feature... it is much more efficient than iphone one cause it doesn't need to turn on the screen before touching it. can straight away touch and straight away login into main screen even from sleep. so cool

this way i can login and out without touching the power button. can last very long leh

I'm getting greenfone to flash 7.0.16.0 to my phone. The phone is working ok at the moment, love it, but I just want to have the best out of it. Right now I can't even change ringtones/notification tone because there are no other options to choose from. i suspect this is because my weird 7.1.1.1 firmware. I mean surely the official firmware gives you more than 1 tone to choose from, right?

And btw, I can't connect my phone to my laptop. Got error msg saying the 'new hardware wizard' can't find the software needed to install my phone. What am i doing wrong? I never had this problem with my previous phones, just connect and and can straight away transfer files. Any tips?

Hi guys. Just bought my RN3 last Saturday.

I'm having few minor problems that I realized so far. But since Ive been read all the problems you guys had in this thread, it looks like the problems we're facing right now  are alike. (of course since the phone is an AP set from China)

Here are my list of problems so far:

1) So frustrated with all the unusable apps (bloatwares), with all the Chinese languages installed with the custom ROM.
2) All the MI apps (store, theme, video etc etc... you name it ) again all in Chinese language
3) When my device is getting hot (turned on the data for long period), the fingerprint scanner started to malfunction. (i've to reboot the phone to make it function, but then when the device getting hot again, same thing happened) - THE MAJOR PROBLEM SO FAR. HATE IT!
4) The notification seems so weird. My whatsapp notification does not give any notification at all. Need to open the app then the messages start to enter. Plus, when it give noti, only once (for many messages without open the app)
5) For sure, again the weird custom ROM made by the seller.
6) The bootloader is locked.

Somehow with all the problems/complains stated above, other than that my RN3 just working fine once I get used to it.     

PS: Daymnn its to long to wait for the global ROM!!! 

On version 7.1.1.1 afraid brick to flash the lower version.  Having problem on google play store,  version 6.0++, only able to download via wifi, cant download apps via mobile internet,  (waiting for wifi)  already untick download via wifi only. Any solution guys

Im searching for the case also.. apparently, only 1 physical shop i found in lowyat. Level 3 if im not mistaken. Nilkin back cover, not fully cover the upper and bottom but still can protect the back while waiting the other full cover from Lelong (delivery too long).

Just got mine today, the fingerprint scanner is quite fast.
Definitely something to compensate for the lack of offscreen gesture on redmi note series. Gonna try update to the latest version.
