You will probably find better reviews online but I have to say performance is really awesome, no lag and smoother than baby bottom. My previous phone was also a hexa core phone Samsung Note 3 Neo. Screen didn't disappoint as I was apprehensive about moving away from Amoled. It is very bright.

MIUI needs some getting use to since I have only used Touch wiz on Samsung since SGS1.

Battery life is great. At 37% practical screen on for 2-3 hours and it still says remaining is 1 day 2 hours. But let's see if it calibrates further as I use it more.

Fingerprint very accurate and fast.

Now if only I can mod  a microsim and microsd to fit the slot. Have to file them down in thickness but worried would damage the microsd or having them get stuck in the slot.

Anyways I got it from Adomax at RM1099 for the 32GB. Expensive but I need it now and early adopters usually pay more loh.

Anyone considering getting one won't regret it. Certainly a worthy phone.

Rn3 no sdcard slot.
Rn3 Pro got sdcard slot hybrid with sim slot. either use for sim or sdcard.

Nope. it doesn't support QC 2.0.  In fact, any QC chargers will not compatible to RN 3 Pro. It's been confirmed by the users in China. Eventhough SD650 does support up to QC 3.0, Xiaomi do not plan to put this feature into RN3 Pro. Well, afterall, no matter how powerful RN3 Pro is, this is still considered as a budget phone.

I think cancelling the order for China RN3pro is a wise choice... because until today there is absolutely no words on flashing the bootloader (normal RN3 got la), not even a dev rom is available also. If we get the China version then might stuck with it (chinese rom) for a long long time...  Better get the official Mi Malaysia set that comes with global rom...

Based on quick review by gsmarena they said rn3 only has quick charge first gen and camera wasn't good at all. They're testing rn3 with snapdragon 650, should be the same as rn3 pro right?

It's 2h charged for a 4100mah battery is still good in my opinion.Camera they compare with flagship sure is bad in their eye.Budget phone anyway so don't really bothered.
Chip , hardware software  & charger need to support if im not mistaken.There were an article about it on Android authorities about it.

Software? Not sure. Some miui users did ask in the china community whether the feature can be added in the future software upgrade. But until now, no answer at all. So I assume it's not possible.

Charger? Confirmed no. Some users already tested with 9V charger. The result was showing that RN Pro 3 is only support up to 5v2A charger.

There are couple type of Redmi Note 3/3Pro.
1. Redmi Note 3 (Helio X10+2GB+16GB) = Dual SIM Only
2. Redmi Note 3 (Helio X10+3GB+32GB) = Dual SIM Only
3. Redmi Note 3 Pro (SD650+2GB+16GB) = Dual SIM + Hybrid SD Card Slot (2nd SIM can use as SIM Card or SD Card, one at a time)
4. Redmi Note 3 Pro (SD650+3GB+32GB) = Dual SIM + Hybrid SD Card Slot (2nd SIM can use as SIM Card or SD Card, one at a time)

there`s no redmi note 3 with snapdragon cpu? Meaning malaysia official launch will be only redmi note 3 pro?

It is not strange when manufacturer choose a different soc for different market. Basically Mi China has a RN3 with Helio X10 and thus renamed the one using SD650 to RN3 Pro.

Here, they will only release the one with SD650 thus eliminate the need to rename it with a Pro. Pretty much like Redmi 2 which has a normal version and enhanced version.

But still, its basically the same phone with different soc. Screen, camera, speaker would be mediocre at best. Performance would be good but that depends on the thermal management. A72 are designed to fix A57 problematic overheating problem. I think really need to see how RN3 handle the heat from the high performance dual core in the long term.
