QUOTE(kangaroonext20km @ Feb 8 2016, 10:40 AM) Not really recommended my friend. Chances the phone comes with vendor modified rom that contains lots of shaddy apps unless you bought directly from Mi china. Unless you learn how to flash it, theres nothing much can do about it. If not just wait for a proper malaysia launch with global rom. That we really don't know how long they'll take... |

QUOTE(kangaroonext20km @ Feb 8 2016, 11:23 AM) Hello bole bole no problem... try reading few more threads about it to gain confidence. Once you grasp how to do it, really easy peasy saja. chances you only kena soft brick nothing serious. Just do a proper reflash and you are back.May I know the minimum requirement like any accesories needed to flash it ? And what are the chances I "brick" it Also any good guide on how 2 flash ? I see http://en.miui.com/thread-193681-1-1.html thread, boleh pakai ka? Also, its kinda important to have google playstore. This phone got ah? you going to need a pc (of course As for playstore, all vendor modified rom comes with it la. Custom roms too. But for official roms u need to install yourself cause china roms mah no gapps allowed. Simply open their Mi store and search for google, select the first result to download gapps. All auto download and install for u easy |

QUOTE(blackmaster @ Feb 8 2016, 12:46 PM) i follow the step from MIUI forum , copy MT6795_ANDROID_SCATTER from Image file and copy it to signed_bin folder , and load it from signed_bin folder , is it correct ? oh you flashing official rom izit? haha I confuse too much with custom roms already seems like incompatible spflash version with your OS. Dig around the thread for a chinese version one. that might work |

QUOTE(himeouji @ Feb 10 2016, 11:05 PM) I just bought 2 units of Redmi Note 3 via Lazada. may I know the rom version for your gold color phone? So far as know there isn't any global rom yet, officially la...Gold color i get from Gadget Velocity, its awesome. all global. 100% global ROM with english MIUI. Google Play installed. Dark Gray color i get from Gtronics Communication. its suck, filled with bloatware. 3 security apps, 3~4 apps/ram cleaner, 1 anti virus, APUS Launcher??? WITH ADS!!!, other bunch MI China apps, some MI apps like theme are all in chinese, Google Play installed. first, i root and uninstall the bloatware, after uninstall the Ads filled Apus Launcher, i keep getting error, then i stuck at MI logo screen when i rebooting the device. so i had to flash new ROM. a quick google, i came across Sphinx 1d, success flash it, but got some problem, the finger print only can be use after rebooting the phone, then after few hours its unusable again. then i saw Sphinx 2b is available, but i wonder if finger print sensor is really fixed? coz some still said its not fixed. anybody using this ROM? is it fixed? edit: as for the finger print problem in Sphinx. yes sometimes it does not work after long deep sleep... to me it isn't much of a problem... Just log in via pin code and locks it back, it works again. No need restart phone... This post has been edited by wktang: Feb 10 2016, 11:38 PM |

QUOTE(tongaz86 @ Feb 27 2016, 06:08 AM) if its priced below 900 then its a good buy for now. But better make sure and confirm it a SD version first. From the look of it, its exactly the same with MTK version. No visually difference unless you check the sim tray... |

for me, I rather choose RN3 pro over Mi5. With larger battery , 5.5 screen, reviewed & tested 8-10 hours of SOT with SD650. Antutu over 7x,xxx...
Usage only heavy messaging, web browsing and play Asphalt only. Not going to run server intensive app on my phone LOL Seriously really enough for my daily driver already... This post has been edited by wktang: Feb 27 2016, 11:58 PM |

QUOTE(tongaz86 @ Feb 27 2016, 08:05 PM) Just check the Snapdragon version 16GB 899 while 32GB 1099...next Wednesday stock arrive. suprised they didn't goreng till 1,299 Still think worth it with the price? Mi5 seems good but not sure when gonna come here. But if you plan to be an early adopter then paying that price is actually quite "reasonable" la within range. After 2 months price surely comes down to 799-899' ish This post has been edited by wktang: Feb 28 2016, 12:01 AM |
