I tried this guide, but at the step where you hit download button, then press volume down and connect phone to pc, nothing happened. No progress bar, nothing moving. My phone did go into fastboot mode but it didn't affect anything. What did I do wrong?

finally manage to update to RN3 to 7.0.22.00
i just relieved that normally we bought from certain local shop they flash to vendor rom and install gapp example of 7.00.11.00 which is base on 7.0.11.0

what i did is lazy ppl job, root and use root explorer to change to build.prop to 7.00.11.00 to 7.0.11.00 and violla... after reboot ota available..

Anyone already using Umobile or Digi on RN3, please share your experience.

I try to search telco manually using RN3, only found Maxis, Celcom, Digi.
The reason I asked because Im using this phone for travelling, and normally using local sim card for data plan. If RN3 not compatible with some band, for example 850Mhz, I can avoid to use that telco.

Guys, I've just flashed my phone to the 7.0.16 from 7.1.1.1. Everything went well, I got the big green tick at the end. But my phone is refusing to switch on, it currently stuck and the android loading screen. it's been like this for 2 minutes now and i'm freaking out! Please tell me this is normal.

Try the app Gravity Screen. It uses phone's proximity sensor, so if u use a cover style case, once u cover the proximity sensor of ur phone, it will auto lock ur phone.

Not sure if it works for Redmi Note 3 or not. Coz duno where is the proximity sensor located at.

All I noe is Redmi Note 1 not support. Coz the proximity sensor is in the ear piece, covers usually have cut outs for ear piece, so it wont cover the proximity sensor to lock the phone.

Anyone having the GPS connection issue. It's sensitive when pass by tunnel or inside the building. RN1 got no problem with this situation.

I also encounter Whatsapp slow notification response problem. Must be within the whastapp screen then only get prompt response...

anyone face GPS issue on this phone?
