Hi guys need some opinion.

I am using Joven 830i for my water heater. Today i realized there is no green light but the red light is on by itself after i switch on the main switch. But the red light is a bit dull. It will be brighter if i turn on the heater.

Water pump works ok. Tho the red light is on but the water is not heating up unless i switch it on. Normally, once i switch on the main switch the green ( indicator) will light up. Is it just light issue? Coz for now it works ok. It's just the light not function as it used to be.

Thanks for any feedback.

Better go for repair. Malfunction heater can be very dangerous

EELS is a system built in to detect electricity leakage and surges.

DO NOT USE if you cannot confirm the EELS is working

I'm using Alpha with auto earth circuit check indicator. Green light means the earth circuit is fine. Red light means the earth circuit is not ok. If earth circuit is not ok, the heater is still working but if there is any circuit leakage, your RCCB wouldn't trip and it may lead to electrocution or fire.

Ask your electrician to check your Joven earth circuit first then check the earth circuit of the entire house.
Meanwhile, DO NOT USE any water heater in your house until you find out the problem.

Add on:
Have you done the ELCB test on the water heater yet ? Does it trip?
Also, please do a trip test at the RCCB in the main DB.

Yeah, check your manual. Green light is power snd EELS on. The red light is the thermostat on for the heating element. You tried pressing the test button? If it's just a faulty lamp, the test button should still turn off the water heater.

Press the test button. No trips means your water heater is not earth. Very high risk if you continue using it, once leaked, no protection from electrocution at all. Check your green earth wire in the heater and wall socket, make sure it is securely fasten then press test button again. If it trips, that means you have EELS protection.

thanks. i'll do that n open the heater. meaning that the heater actually has no problem? it's just wiring issue?

if earth wiring no problem, press test button at your RCCB to check the entire house earth circuit. Water heater can be faulty too that's why you need to trouble shoot one by one to find out the root cause.

Hi, i have been using alpha s200ep water heater for 3 years now. All tge while my house water pressure is not good but with the heater`s pump, still acceptable for shower. Recently tge heater's pump keep turning off by itself. The light indicators remain the same and the line fault is green but the water became cold (i donno is it because water pressure became too low or what). Any idea what the problem might be?

I have similar issue with my Joven SC33IP, the ELCB indicator sometimes no light, although most of the times it will show green light. But when I do the ELCB test, it does cut off the electricity.

Wondering whether you have contacted Joven and what is their answer for this?
