Rubberman happened in some of the UT3 game , namely Gears , MOH : Airbone and this . But it's rare , very rare .

Live for Speed S2
The graphics are a little dated but all I care is it's got one of, if not the most realistic driving physics.
Just some random drift shots. Grip racing is just as fun and requires far more concentration.

Nah, rFactor's gMotor2 game engine is still better in term of physics. Ever have a formula 1 tyre fell down from 200 feet straight into your car, damaging your nose cone and rendering your car useless in the process because of a 1st corner incident? thought so

Aerodynamics is where LFS could learn from rF (rF's aerodynamics is a bit more advanced). More advanced damage modelling is still being developed in LFS. rF's damage modelling at this point covers a lot more aspects, but LFS uses real time body damage modelling. Where you hit is where the car will get damaged as opposed to predefined panels and stuff falling off. LFS does however, have suspension damage from accidents, taking a curb too violently, jumping, etc. But aside from that, the physics are more advanced. for example, the tyres, differential and engine, rF and many other sims like GTR uses predefined tables whereas in LFS and Richard Burns Rally (another one of my fav sims) they are real time calculated. Tyre flex, road surface, tyre surface, wear, flatspots are all real time calculated. Also, in real life engines don't have a fixed predefined power and torque curve (GTR and rF uses predefined tables). They all vary with different variables like what gear you are in, the differentials etc which are real time calculations in Richard Burns Rally and LFS.

Speaking of that, Richard Burns Rally has the most advanced engine physics algorithms as it literally calculates detailed combustion cycle of each individual cylinder, the entire turbo mechanism, drivetrain and gearbox and differentials. You can actually damage the engine head gasket due to high cylinder pressures (by holding the brakes and accelerating too much). Truly phenomenal level of realism.

A lot of great sims around nowadays. I like LFS because I spend most of my time driving road cars.

Wheel, and LFS has another advantage, flatspotting.
Compare these to console crap that claim itself to be "Complete Driving Simulator" and you will find a whole lot of difference.
I mean the gMotor2 can calculate real time the fuel sloshing around in the fuel tank. I aint see that in Gran Turismo

heheh gran turismo... i agree with you on that. GT4 feels very unrealistic to me. too forgiving. donuts are not possible, the way power is being transmitted to the ground just doesn't feel right. and the ebrake doesn't work like the way it should in real life.

@vincent09
if you're on a low budget, go for a Logitech MOMO Racing and thats the minimum. Some cheap wheels, the force feedback feels unrealistic or has a centering spring. Remember to disable centering spring in the force feedback settings of the Logitech wheels. If you got more cash, you can try the DFP or better still the G25. If you really got too much cash, haha the options are limitless, there are really high end stuff around.
