both are good games. no, u cant compare these games. each game got its own storyline and gaming experience.
COD4 is an FPS games, good multiplier game, nice graphics etc2.
Gears Of war got nice graphics and diff gaming experience compared to COD4.usually i hate games which is fighting monster as an opponent, but gears of war change my POV towards games like it...

i like gears of war reload system superb.

If you like GalCiv or Civilisations series(in other words classic turn based games) you will definetely like it. Its slower paced than most RTS so its doesnt quite compare to like normal RTS's. Once you get used to the intricacies of the game...you wont put it down...There is a lot of stuff in the game that its quite hard to explain. You can check out the Sins thread we have here...i gave my review there.

Performance is very very good. Except for one small issue that some people are experienceing..most of the time(majority of the game) goes very smoothly. Yes it is well optimised and scales very well.

More Crysis screenies...

Im using the Cuban Ultima Doom Sword's Custom Crysis Config [CCC] v1.3 dx10 in vista 32bit. The thing about this custom config is that i can run crysis at these quality with a very high fps....(OCed 3870 and 3.11Ghz E6600 but stock mem clock) The difference is if i try to run all very high using default Crysis config, i wont get this quality and fps...

Some screenshot from Crysis MAXIMUM CONFIG
To me this is the nicest looking custom config so far. Some say the HDR effect is too much, resulting in too much contrast between light and dark...but even that u can configure to ur liking.

yeah...exactly..but you're not building cities etc lah...Im sure you will like it...many are touting this game to be a real winner for PC gaming...Great deep strategic gameplay...good support from the developer and no DRM!

Now you can always get your Crysis(on its way) or COD4's on consoles...but this is what the PC is really good for rclxms.gif

i uninstalled prostreet already due to it being boring. I like dirt, in fact i liked previous collin series. The last NFS series I enjoyed playing is Most Wanted.

Have a nice read up wink.gif

"StarForce, is notorious for not only making it difficult for a small percentage of legitimate users to load up StarForce-protected games, but also for leaving potentially problem-causing StarForce software behind on your PC, even after you've deleted the game it was protecting. And this isn't just some story that I've read about online or in emails from readers. No, it happened to me.

Last year, my work PC suddenly began blue-screening (crashing) any time I popped an audio CD into either of my two optical drives. I went online and learned that other people were having this problem and that it appeared to be StarForce-related. Deleting my StarForce-protected games did nothing. I had to run a StarForce-removal utility before my system - filled only with legal, licensed software - could play audio CDs again" - PC Gamer editor-in-chief
