This may be the weirdest question but I'm looking for a non-smart phone for my parents. The good old 3310 type, preferably those battery that can last for weeks.

1. Brand - Doesnt matter
2. Budget - Doesnt matter
3. Specs. Longest battery life possible. Better if the pick up button is green and the close button is red.
4. Type/Size. Doesnt matter

Best phone to get for rm700 to rm800

-not for gaming
-camera good, doesnt have to be superior
-old people friendly
-long batt
-dual sim, no hybrid sim.

I know Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 as one choice, any other recommendation?

Got RN10 (4G RAM version) abt a week ago, and set up for my 70+ yo father. Overall ok.
Wait for Lazada random flash sales @ RM649.
- camera quite good in daytime.
- use lite mode or set font size to XXL. He can read even without wearing glasses.
- he is extremely light user, usually will consume 25% battery in 24 hours.
- screen is very very vivid and bright.
- dual sim + 1 microSD slot.
- slightly slimmer / lighter, easier to hold
- sound is quite loud, can hear ringtones from quite far.
- I find some functions make it convenient for elderly
-- face unlock, pin, finger print, raise to wake up: I set all for him, easy to unlock.
-- double click volume (down) to launch camera, click the same button again to launch a 2 second timer to shoot (minimize camera shake, because no need to touch the screen)
-- Put apps he uses on the first/ second page (he has 10 buttons/ apps to click only), and move everything else in a folder, no clutter for him. Then, 'lock' the homescreen to prevent accidental click.
-- Put some widgets on the first row on the home screen (Data, Wifi, Torch, Screen lock) for quick access. He doesn't even need to swipe down for the shortcuts.

Hey there,

So currently using my OnePlus 6 since June 2018. It's still going strong. But thinking of getting a 2nd phone for personal use (private number) , as well as backup & wifi hotspot.

1. Brand - Doesnt matter as long as not too obscure its difficult to find casing or other accessories.
2. Budget - below 1.5K
3. Specs - Good battery capacity, dual-sim, fast charging with type c port, optional with 5G if the price is right
4. Type/Size - Doesn't matter.

So far I've been shortlisting Realmi 8 5G or Redmi Note 9T.

Not sure if it's worth paying a bit extra for 5G now since phone purchase is rather infrequent for me.

But open for suggestions.

Hi, I'm looking for 5G Android phones. I'm more into video streaming and entertainment. Not much for gaming as I mainly on PC.

1. Brand - No Huawei. I absolute need GApps for my work.
2. Budget - below 1.5K
3. Specs - 5G, Stereo Speakers (Optional 3.5mm headphone jack), 90Hz or above display (possible to get OLED with this budget?).
4. Type/Size - Doesn't matter.

Need small phone with display under 6 inches or anything under 150mm tall. Budget wise, prefer under MYR 1k if can.

Currently use a Galaxy M12, too big for me. I'm eyeing on Pixel 4a but it's a bit too high for my budget. The old Pixel 3 will have support end by this year and the 3a I can only find used.

Ok, I was wrong.... I saw RM2k tongue.gif
