QUOTE(XIINYILOVE @ Aug 4 2016, 11:04 AM) I would recommend Samsung Galaxy note 7! SO DAMN nice la... i saw 11street got pre-order already... so tempting lo.. so nice the phone..., T.T dunno when got discount. If I had the money and the permission from my parents, I would buy it. But obviously, I don't really need it yet, because it's too expensive. |

Hi everyone here, I want to ask for recommendations for my mom's phone replacement. My mom have been using her Lenovo P780.
1. Brand: Any brands which should be reliable or trustworthy 2. Budget: As cheap as possible 3. Specs: Doesn't matter, as long it wasn't too laggy when doing light tasks, should have large internal storage along with MicroSD expansion and should have decent battery life. 4. Type/Size: 5 to 5.5 inches My mom will be only using her phone for WeChat, WhatsApp and YouTube only. Other than Asus Zenfone Go, Lenovo P1m and Lenovo A6020, is there any other phones that suits the requirement? Any recommendation is appreciated. QUOTE(wenmeng @ Aug 10 2016, 04:38 PM) Can go 11street compare price. My lenovo A5000 phone I buy at 11street, cheaper than other retail. i think they always give good price. I am not sure, but unless you are going to buy retail, then online stores like 11street, Lazada and Gemfive should be a good idea to compare prices. |

QUOTE(joefacker @ Aug 16 2016, 02:17 PM) Hi sifus, looking to get a cheap 3rd phone to complement my personal and work phones...Can't decide between these 3: I would say Meizu MX4 should be good for you. I can also recommend you the Lenovo Vibe K5 A6020 .a) Lenovo vibe p1M b) Meizu MX4 c) Huawei p8 lite Their prices range from 400 to 600 but I believe they have very similar specs. Looking to use it more for as a GPS and maybe for Pokemon GO. QUOTE(ApoKalypse @ Aug 16 2016, 03:02 PM) Need recommendation for this phone, priority at Camera, Battery and Gaming. It's rather obvious, go with the Samsung Galaxy S7.1) Samsung Galaxy S7 2016 2) Huawei Honor 5C 3) Huawei P9 Lite 4) Oppo F1s |

QUOTE(shahmetal @ Aug 22 2016, 03:43 PM) Need some recommendations for a mid-range gaming phone: At it's most obvious, go with the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016).1. Brand: Samsung 2. Budget: RM1k+- 3. Specs: For mid-range gaming, particulary CoC and PokeGo. And maybe also Hearthstone. I do not mind other fancies like pretty camera, scratch-resistant screen, or even vivid display. I just need the performance, since it would not be my main phone where I would stick with it most of the time. 4. Type/Size: Any Since I had chosen Samsung, that budget would only fits J7 and A3. My first choice was A3 because it seems on the higher end series. I do not really care for screen size, as long as it is not really tiny. But upon inspection, J7 seems to fare better at performance, while A3 gets more "feature" (fancier casing, scratch-resistant, etc). So you could see I already did my homework, but just want confirmation, whether performance wise, J7 is better than A3? Here are some data (I only took performance related specs): A3 PLATFORM OS Android OS, v5.1.1 (Lollipop), upgradable to v6.0.1 (Marshmallow) Chipset Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 Exynos 7578 CPU Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 GPU Adreno 306 Mali-T720MP2 MEMORY Card slot microSD, up to 256 GB (uses SIM 2 slot) Internal 16 GB, 1.5 GB RAM J7 PLATFORM OS Android OS, v6.0.1 (Marshmallow) Chipset Qualcomm MSM8952 Snapdragon 617 Exynos 7870 Octa CPU Octa-core (4x1.6 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4x1.0 GHz Cortex-A53) Octa-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A53 GPU Adreno 405 Mali-T830MP2 MEMORY Card slot microSD, up to 256 GB (dedicated slot) Internal 16 GB, 2 GB RAM Oh, another thing. I am not a fanboy of Samsung. It is just that it is the most mainstream and to survey all Android brands would be time consuming. So, any suggestion beside Samsung within that price range is highly welcomed. But I do have some brands that I do not care to look into, such as.. you know.. Chinese-based company brands. For example I now own a Redmi Note 2 and it is just.. sucks (dont ask how I got it!). Thanks! |

QUOTE(haziqnet @ Aug 23 2016, 02:02 PM) ding ding heat 7 quite a beast yo... Maybe so, but you could buy better phones like Lenovo Vibe K5 or Alcatel Flash Plus 2 for about RM 100 more. And also that you can buy phones with similar specs at a price equal or less than the Heat 7.specs quad core 1ghz 2gb ram 16gb internal memory 4g 13 megapixel rear camera 8 mp front camera corning gorilla glass android lollipop price RM499 comes with free VR comes with free casing and screen protector... i think this model are more powerful than vivo brands |

QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Aug 23 2016, 04:57 PM) Brands like Ding Ding will just sell their phones at an insanely low price with too good to be true specs (so-called quad core, so-called 13MP camera etc.) which will end up like crap. Which is why I said that people could buy better phones at a price more or less the price of the phone and maybe way better if they actually top-up some money into some other good phones. And of course, no updates. Once your phone has bugs, unstable software, random issues etc. You're most likely doomed. Many people are complaining about the GPS issue on their Facebook page. That ain't a beast, it's just a crap phone in disguise. |

QUOTE(sang_karim @ Aug 24 2016, 12:24 PM) Thanks for your reply bro .. after making some considerations .. I've list down to 3 Lenovo's phone as below : I would say the Lenovo K5 is better than the bunch because of the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, decent battery life and lots more to justify the price tag. P1m doesn't justify the price unless you really don't do anything intensive. S1 Lite should be okay.1) Lenovo Vibe K5 2) Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite 3) Lenovo Vibe P1m Need some feedback from u guys out there about these 3 phones. TQ |

QUOTE(coolguy99 @ Aug 24 2016, 08:24 PM) 1. Brand: Any Brand Lenovo Vibe K52. Budget: 600 3. Specs: Any Specs 4. Type/Size: This phone will be for my dad. He just uses it for daily calls and occasional whatsapp. Hence preferably a phone with big screen, good battery life and without lag will do. Wiko UFeel Lite |
