Hi sifus, looking to get a cheap 3rd phone to complement my personal and work phones...Can't decide between these 3:

Need some recommendations for a mid-range gaming phone:

1. Brand: Samsung
2. Budget: RM1k+-
3. Specs: For mid-range gaming, particulary CoC and PokeGo. And maybe also Hearthstone. I do not mind other fancies like pretty camera, scratch-resistant screen, or even vivid display. I just need the performance, since it would not be my main phone where I would stick with it most of the time.
4. Type/Size: Any

Since I had chosen Samsung, that budget would only fits J7 and A3. My first choice was A3 because it seems on the higher end series. I do not really care for screen size, as long as it is not really tiny. But upon inspection, J7 seems to fare better at performance, while A3 gets more "feature" (fancier casing, scratch-resistant, etc). So you could see I already did my homework, but just want confirmation, whether performance wise, J7 is better than A3? Here are some data (I only took performance related specs):

Oh, another thing. I am not a fanboy of Samsung. It is just that it is the most mainstream and to survey all Android brands would be time consuming. So, any suggestion beside Samsung within that price range is highly welcomed.

But I do have some brands that I do not care to look into, such as.. you know.. Chinese-based company brands. For example I now own a Redmi Note 2 and it is just.. sucks (dont ask how I got it!).

Brands like Ding Ding will just sell their phones at an insanely low price with too good to be true specs (so-called quad core, so-called 13MP camera etc.) which will end up like crap.

And of course, no updates. Once your phone has bugs, unstable software, random issues etc. You're most likely doomed. Many people are complaining about the GPS issue on their Facebook page.

That ain't a beast, it's just a crap phone in disguise.
