Apparently my EG8 went through a major problem for the past few weeks. The engine was overheating each time I drove. Even after times of repairing and adjusting it.

Now that the mechanic had no choice but to change the engine from SOHC Vtec to SOHC Vtec-E.

Could anyone explain the difference btw this two? Oh gosh, I just wish it's DOHC

It gives me slightly more power. I'm not sure, based on the review it's for economical purpose.

How much is the changing of DOHC engines? There are many types right? B16A?
and higher?

RM11k? Are you sure? That price I can get a bloody type R man. Haha...Unless you talking about engine and labour + spare parts. Even that, it also won't hit 10k man.

Arghh... I'm thinking of selling it rather that working on it continuosly. How much would it cost?

So far my previous engine gave me more power than my waja does... I dunno. maybe it's becz of the gear.. I'm driving auto.

Anyway, how much would I be able to sell my EG8? Just normal, no modification except for ICE. Changing to B16A for 11k, I would rather sell it and buy EK9 or EG9 instead

my car's condition shd be very well after this major engine transplanting. I'm a very careful driver *coughcough* and super clean haha..

EK9 is roughly hw much? Indeed, I'm serious Not sure though... If I might go for EK, why not opting for better performance? Rather than spending the money to modify on the later days...

Ori EK9 very hard to find ler. Just get an EK4 and pimped it out to EK9. Why? It is MUCH cheaper

Dude, I repeat the halfcut DOES NOT COST 11k lah. apis stop being misleading lah. Your 11k is sarawak price but KL here not so expensive. 

kvys2000, halfcut + the labour + spare parts is LESS THAN 10k. At some places you can get the halfcut for 5.5k only, you just need to survey around. labour + parts is estimated around 3k. SO it's not even reaching 10k. 

Oh well, seems like EK4 is more promissing

Basically there is not much difference other than the number of doors and weight rite? 185/170bhp, it's fine with me compare to my SOHC engine now

Lately, I've heard a lot of those 'aeroplane' sounds or whatever you call it comes out from car when start engine. It's like a high pitch air sound. What's that? Purpose? I heard it's air compresser or something
