I recently bought the first version of xbox. Yes the big black box. Then i bought this cable which has a head for video input and convert to analog ( blue head ) so that i could fix it to my LG LCD monitor. I got the audio conversion and all right. When i on the xbox , there is sound but no picture , i tried to off and on the monitor again and even let it go on auto set but nothing seems to come out. So i plugged it into a Samsung monitor and this is what came out " Please Check Signal Cable " , then there is the Red Blue Green colors comes with it on a small window.
Is this something to do with my cable ? If it is then what cable or converter cable should i get ?
Is it possible for the older xbox to be plugged into the Lcd ?
Does a Vga box necessary?
Where can i get the specified component cable / vga cable / converter cable ?
Thank you so much for reading and thank you so much for your help. Sorry if there is already a topic posted on this matter , i somehow couldn't find the right answers to my questions.

Yes, a vga box is NECESSARY to play on your LCD monitor. And widescreen monitors will output really sucky graphics. For the normal 4:3 monitors, the output should be more or less ok, depending what type of vga box you use.

Cant i just make a direct connection from the Xbox to the lcd with that cable instead ? That cable can be bought from a Xbox Retail Outlet. Thanks again =)

Oh my. Well ill get a vga box then. Hopefully it doesn't cost much , does it ? I saw a number of those in Sg Wang about rm 100 to rm 150. Guess by the time i buy the box and so fourth , i could have gotten a new Xbox which is around rm 700 haha.
Oh yea , does the quality of the game disturbed if i use a vga box ?
Whats a good brand for a vga box withint the budget of below rm 140 ?
=)

I dunno, maybe you can get yourself a Cosmo brand or something? That one is really cheap, but the same could be said for its quality.
