Manchester United whistleblower grumbles 'I'm only half the player I should be under LVG'

A Manchester United player has given an extraordinary off-the-record briefing to a high-profile football journalist which is ruffling feathers among fans.

The player, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the Daily Telegraph's Jason Burt that he feels his is only "half the player he can be", because of manager Louis van Gaal's tactics and approach.

"I've got to be careful what I say here," Burt told the BBC in a radio interview.

"I've spoken to one player at United who told me he's half the player he can be here at the moment, because of the way they're playing.

"He doesn't feel it's fair on him, he doesn't feel it's fair on the fans. He can't express himself properly and he finds it very difficult to play here."

The only guys it's safe to say it won't be are the defensive guys who are playing regularly, cos they're getting a lot of props AND being defenders less likely to complain about being unable to express themselves.

I'm curious, since you give the impression that you think LVG is a Lucky idiot who should be sacked. If the board somehow sees it the same way and the axe is looming, who do you think can come in and guarantee good results (i.e. at least comparable table position to LVG) but also play free-flowing attacking football to do so?

- Pep? Anak murid LVG, his style would be similar to LVG. Bayern ex-players and fans also saying the same thing about him as LVG haters are saying now. If anything I suspect this is the guy Kayu wants @ OT after LVG 3 yr contract expires, simply because he has the profile and his Barca side were amazing in marketing/results terms. The man Zlatan kenot tahan. Sino is probably PRAYING he never comes to OT.
- Ancelotti? Not particularly offensive, although his sides would attack more than our current side but it's not like his reputation for attacking teams = SAF level. He makes balanced teams and seems to adjust to team. Might do better in CL since he has a good record there, but his league title tally means we are not going to feel very happy in the league either.
- Giggs? Experience insufficient and even he admitted his games as caretaker manager made him realize he wasn't ready.
- Simeone? His teams don't play free-flowing attacking football, they play attrition style football.

Well, at least defensively LvG has fixed it. Lowest goal scored against in the league, only a point off the leader. Only attacking part is unimaginative :zzz:
