Hey guys, I plan to transfer my rig into a smaller PC case that's more compact so that it allows for more space in my room as well as easier to bring around.

My current rig is:
- i7 4700
- Asus H87 Plus
- CM Seidon 120XL
- Apacer 8GB
- WD 1TB
- Crucial SSD 512GB
- Radeon R9 270X
- CM G700W

I'm taking a look at the Thermaltake Core V1 now as it can support 200mm PSUs as well as watercooling. What do you think?

Any other recmomendations?

yea u need a mitx mobo in ordre to use itx casing .

suggest

http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mini-itx-...eries/elite130/

or elite 110 if u using GPU length less than 210mm
http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mini-itx-...eries/elite110/

or sliverstone sg13 support GPU lenth upto 10.5 inch

http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=536

all suport full size of ATX PSU. but for watter cooling u really need to get very detail about the dimension . the case is really small
recommend use full modular or semi modular PSU. because the space is really limited lol

Highlighted items require normal case, both for their dimensions and cooling purpose. To miniaturize, you need to re-think the concept of small PCs. To really shrink down, it's advisable to sell off the ATX mobo and graphics card, and replace them with ITX board and lesser power hungry graphics card. Either that, or find the smallest ATX casing in the market. I'd recommend this .

This ITX casing can fit V650 PSU & HD7990 GPU.

Are you sure R9 270X is longer than this card?

Just build a ITX case with CM-110, mother board is GB-H97N-WIFI, RM 410
GPU - GTX 650 (> 22CM)

You better get your GPU dimension from the web site before proceeding your build.

I'm using the Core V1 build with ECS Z97 ITX board.

One thing I must highlight is that you must note the board's DIMM slot proximity to the PCI-E slot.

In my case the ECS Z97 ITX board, the DIMM slots are so close to the PCI-E that if the GPU has backplate, it won't sit in place in the PCI-E slot. I have another ITX board which is the ASRock H97-ITX/ac and that one works fine.

Any specific graphic card recommendation that is less than 22cm, but at the same time as good as or better than the R9 270X?

Btw is the leap to a mini itx worth it?

There are so many.

GALAX and ASUS for example, have ITX models that are short and powerful.
