QUOTE(prosibu @ Nov 20 2015, 05:44 PM) Did a few speedtest at pekan kepong with digi server by digi sim. Not lte-A also... Your Digi LTE is damn fast.. maybe someone from Digi with big position staying around at your area your the Digi network tower is nearby you.. I did a few time speed test again and the speed I manage to get from Digi is all around 10Mbps-15Mbps.. Is good enough to surf but not the best compare to the other.. However, Digi still the best if compare with the price. This post has been edited by ckyow1: Nov 20 2015, 06:22 PM

Maxis Bhd has confirmed its leadership of the country's 4G connections with its -98dBM signal as a stringent threshold to ensure consistent and reliable indoor and outdoor coverage.
In a statement Friday, it said the -98dBm measurement was equivalent to three or four bars on the phone when outdoors, giving it a more reliable and consistent data experience.
"With this signal strength, customers can expect zero buffering on YouTube 96 per cent of the time, load top webpages in less than eight seconds, 24/7 consistently fast speeds, and stronger signal and widest 4G coverage.
"There is also a common standard measurement for signal strength of -110dBm used by other operators, which is equivalent to two bars on your phone.
"As the mobile signal fluctuates heavily, this means a less reliable, intermittent and poorer data experience outdoors, and an even poorer one indoors," added the operator.
Based on this -98dBm threshold, Maxis' High Performing 4G network reaches 62 per cent of the population.
Currently, there are 2.2 million people enjoying the Internet with Maxis high performing 4G.

QUOTE(cloudwan @ Nov 20 2015, 04:22 PM) U can't do comparison of 4G speed at one place only ler, try doing test on different sites.. Confirm you will see different speed readout.. lol.. Did my test in Kuantan & Muadzam Shah - Pahang, maxis data suck and only Digi & Celcom is usable.. lol.. For Batu Pahat - Johor, maxis data suck oso and Digi, Celcom & Umobile is usable.. Here's a comparison between digi n maxis 4g in KLIA area. I assume most people will be using the airport's wifi, hence the 4g traffic should be negligible. Tested digi 2x then switched to maxis, result is green powah around double that of yellow. Attached thumbnail(s)

But server does matter for the speed test, normally i use digi um n other local server except maxis n celcom, the Speedtest only capped 30mbps During last sunday, i used kuala lumpur celcom to test. And surprisingly the arrow reach max (50mbps) and tat is so excited for me lolx

No matter how fast the speed is, until they give unlimited data usage with no speed capped then cantik.
But I guess wont happen, just my 2cents so testing speed for comparison will have diff result in diff place.

Serious question Does anybody know of any country with telco providing truly unlimited package. I mean, without actual fair usage policy in effect. When I was in Brunei, I took up an "unlimited" data package with B-mobile. But due to really poor speed, I couldn't effectively test whether it was rudely unlimited (unfortunately I changed my phone, no speed test record remains to show u guys)
Edit: "truly unlimited" Darn autocorrect...

QUOTE(alexng2208 @ Nov 20 2015, 03:51 PM) lol are you sure. post screen shot. i regularly get 30mbps from maxis in this area. Yesterday I happen to be in KLCC food court level 4 with my cousin. I use Celcom while my cousin use Maxis. Both seems to have equal signal which is 3 out of 5. (3/5) and we both using iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus (Mine). Speeds for both devices looks the same which is at 10-15Mbps. I tested several times with my cousins. And yes, I think it does affect with people around you. It's not fast though, just so so...for both network.

Hell no. I did give it a chance by subscribing the mobile internet once, hoping I could stay connected along the way from Johor Bahru to Batu Pahat. But with disappointment all I get is just GPRS 90% of the time and my 'mobile internet' was not truly mobile. From that onward I said bye bye to maxis... Charge so much yet the service CMI.
