I don't think it will be expensive or what. It's just like dualcore and now macbook change to Core2duo. Is it expensive? NO 
Same price. Right now, i sure there will be next generation macbook cos' of intel will release its next generation centrino, codenamed "Santa Rosa". It's still using Core2duo, but got higher FSB, IINM, it should be 800+FSB and the new integrated graphics(X3000) which support HDR and SM3, it can play most recent 3D games. I predict that macbook will be equip those *goodies* in the upcoming model
Seriously, i don't think quadcore will be in lappie unless someone can design a better battery to extend to usage. Quadcore need lotz of power.
