It's not something new that U Mobile had terrible coverage out of Klang Valley.

Hmm... I don't mind data is slow at Ipoh and Kampar, but can I make calls most of the times?I need to go there twice every month.

I've been in Ipoh few days ago, travel around the town area. So far consistent on H+ , smooth surfing internet without any problem. I'm not sure how's those Kinta area as I don't have chance to reach there

you should get a prepaid sim to test things out first, if it works well then go for it. (better do it before 31st dec, because you can get 1gb every single month as long as you keep ur number active)
*
That free 1GB not one time only? Confirmed every single month?

Hi, I will go to Kampar this 19th.
After searching hotels at Kampar, I found Grand Kampar Hotel (RM200+, too expensive), The Trails of Kampar Hotels & Resorts (RM444+, bloody expensive) and Kampar Times Inn Hotel (RM90+, but most of the reviews are negative).

Kampar has that 3 hotels only?

Let me share my experience. I travelling a lot due to my work nature. I changed to U mobile P70 since 3 months.

Southern Region - N.9(Pedas, Linggi) : GPRS, Edge
N.9 (Seremban, Senawang): H+, 4G
Melaka : city area, H, H+, 4G
Johor (Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang): 3G, H, H+
Johor (SKuadai, JB) : H+, 4G
East Coast Region - Kelantan ( Kota Bahru, Kuala Krai, Gua Musang) : H+
Terengganu (Kuala Terengganu, Dungun, Kemaman) : H+
Pahang ( Bentong, Temerloh, Mentakab, Kuantan) : H+

ps: I must said during travelling to east coast, except reach the city or town, basically the phone line is showing G/edge all the time, compare to my colleague using maxis. But even maxis is showing H+ and 4g, the line are fast as fast we expected.

Northern region : Ipoh (ipoh city, ipoh parade) : H+
I dont have chance to travel to northern part after I changed the plan. Will update once I got to there

Thanks for sharing, I am moving to Ipoh soon, very helpful information.

Celcom, Digi, Maxis, and U Mobile are sharing same band only or same band + same signal tower?

What's the point if U Mobile has same band but poorer network coverage?
