QUOTE(hallucinogen @ Dec 6 2015, 07:02 PM) Ermm i'm not a pro, but vtc mini should have enough power for TFV4.. I'm using RX200 now and still firing less than 20 watt. I also have vtc mini, it have 75watt max. Currently trying out the quadruple coil with evic mini. At 40w, barely any cloud or taste, 50w somewhat muted, 60w flavor started to get better and at the maximum setting of 75w, the flavor is so amazing. Not too hot but just nice. It should be even better at higher watts. I think unless you gonna play with very low ohm, multiple coils, otherwise vtc mini should be ok Rx200 poison is just too strong. |

QUOTE(donatelo @ Dec 6 2015, 07:38 PM) really? how about juice flow? suck a lot too? right now 30ml can last me 2 week with Lemo 2, now need start save up for RX200, hopefully good review coming up this week. Oh, the juice. I guess 30ml will barely last a week but that is if you're gonna use the quadruple coil all the time. A must to buy the dual coil rba head though, flavor is more intense compare to the single coil rba head. Go for it mate. By the way, anyone interested to share ems shipping from fasttech or gearbest? I need my item fast and can't wait too long. I'm only buying all small items. http://www.gearbest.com/rebuildable-atomizers/pp_264016.html Original mini mad hatter only 9.80usd. http://www.gearbest.com/rebuildable-atomizers/pp_254111.html Original Wotofo Freakshow Mini RDA only 12.02usd. |

QUOTE(andyng38 @ Dec 6 2015, 11:33 PM) Heads up: the dual o-rings at the mad hatter mini's base are very weak. One slight nudge and the body can go out of position or become detached entirely. Suggest u get slightly fatter o-rings from fasttech at the same time. The 2 original red o-rings are approx 17mm outer diameter and slightly under 1mm thickness. Thanks for sharing Andy! It seems like we have pretty good taste on mods and tanks there. Suggest u try https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/1000643...garette-10-pack Those o-rings are 1.5mm thickness, so should make for a tighter fit. I'm making do with winding a bit of dental floss around the original o-rings |

QUOTE(andyng38 @ Dec 7 2015, 12:21 AM) Bro..there are NO 0.5mm thickness o-rings used on the TFV4. Ahh! You sand down the o-ring! I actually bought three of them from the spare part shop but when installing, it just doesnt go all the way down. Thought that you able to find 0.5mm one. Couldn't agree more that the silicone o-rings are pretty useless on this tank. Not sure about the materials, but these orings are for the fuel or brake lines if not mistaken, should be way better. You're probably referring to the 11mm outer diameter, 1mm thickness o-ring used at the RBA base and at the chimney: https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/1000643...garette-20-pack For the RBA base, I ended up using a 1.5mm thick o-ring. It's tougher and can better withstand the sharp edges in the base assembly (despite my efforts to sand them down slightly) than that flimsy useless piece of silicone crap which came with the coils/RBAs. It's a slightly tight fit, but it works very well. If u wish, u can try those 1mm o-rings from the spare parts shop. It beats waiting for the slow boat from China. If they're made of nitrile rubber, they should last you a long time. |

QUOTE(andyng38 @ Dec 7 2015, 12:54 AM) Bro..I think you've mixed things up. It's late and my brain is a bit sleepy but I don't think I've ever mentioned a 0.5mm thick o-ring before. It's always been 11mm outer diameter and 1mm thick for the one that comes on the coils and RBAs. Yes, I guess I mixed things up. Tiring after long day at work too. I manage to measure the oring I have currently which is about 1.4/1.5mm thickness and it is impossible for me to screw down the rba head till it touches the base. How you manage to squeeze down the coil buddy? The sanding down was done on a 2mm o-ring to get it to 1mm, but that didn't work out too well, so I ditched it. I managed to find 1.5mm thick o-rings at a bearing and seal shop, and that's what I'm using. |

QUOTE(andyng38 @ Dec 7 2015, 06:15 PM) Well I hope it works for your TFV4 mini...I'm using the full-sized version with stock single coil RBA and 2 pcs dual coil RBAs (faster to switch when coils get gunked). I didn't comment on yr leakage prob cos I have no experience with the mini version. Are your stock silicone o-rings still in good shape, or were they chewed up/worn out from use? If they're in good shape and fit right, it may be a wicking prob which is causing the leak. Thanks for the picture, mate! Appreciate that. I once sleepily rewicked at 5AM and it was a sloppy job...some juice dripped out till I vaped like mad Under normal circumstances, I fill up on juice with the AFC wide open, no problems. My chimney's o-ring is still stock...it's the base threading that keeps cutting the silicone o-ring to shreds. I believe Smok made a bad decision to use the same flimsy o-rings in the RBAs as the OCCs. OCCs are meant for short-term use so they'd be discarded, but an RBA undergoes much longer use. They should have given tougher o-rings for the RBA. Could anyone share if SS wire can be used in non TC mode? Not having luck finding the sweet spot in TC mode makes me wanna get a few spools of kanthal. |
