no la, its last yr model, fonepad 8.0 inch, FE380cg, intel too.
maybe its android common probelm, switching between app took 2-3 sec waiting time.
if reading n light gaming u better at least go any retail shop see the screen by urself first, if screen good for u then it should be fine enough
i remember last yr fonepad 7 vs fonepad 8, the fonepad 7 inch screen very bad. like looking at rm200-300 cheap brand tablet. but fonepad 8 very good and sharp.

I don't know what warranty it comes with. But it's definitely imported set. The default rom is global one, in english and got Google Play Store. But i didn't bother with staying with it because i don't like xiaomi stock rom. i flash custom rom and gapps after a few days.
