I only hv a set of hankook RS-2... good grip in the dry, but in the wet it is hopeless turn at 80km/h the car will go spin... also this tyre rubber seem cannot take long term heat/run as in SIC track day.

As for the Toyo T1R I hv (another set) is good for the wet/rain day. In the dry the grip is good but the AD07 is much better. But some friend they use on the conti car the feedback is not that good as compare in Japan car... this T1R only can last them ~ 20k kms.... my hv only ben use for ~ 9k kms... hope it can last me min 30k kms.

off topic:
Give the T1R another try in SIC yesterday under rain & dry road. in the rain it seem hv better grip. but when the track dry out aiyooooo the car understeer like hell..... as compare to my other RS-2, this tire seem like lossing grip after a few laps run. but for day to day street drive on the T1R it is OK lah... After I used up this T1R may look for the RE001.... hope can get more review about it on street used. This post has been edited by blue.taxi: Aug 20 2007, 09:16 AM |
