it's kinda rare nowadays cuz they more focus on selling 13inch n above cuz small tire like kancil less profit le. . . i do like d michelin tire fitted on my kancil b4 n lasted me about 50k of mileage...
i think better get brigdestone ba cuz at least better than goodyear
normally v jus change 4 d additional $30 4 d aligment+any tire u bought le. . .

goodyear n bridgestone ard 120 each le. . . .
but i rather take bridgestone cuz goodyear sucks n neva give better disc even thou we've been taking tires from them over 10yrs++
so i prefer take bridgestone cuz better quality n grip on da road. . .

Small hole ny, I was using the spare tyre la.. but it's a smaller spare that the new cars tend to have.

Supposed to reduce the weight of the car. (AND the cost too, I bet)
*
aiyo,small hole can repair d le. . .

As a mechanic you should know that you can't repair the sidewalls or the shoulder of the tyre. Even for the thread area, there is a limited repairable area that can be done. If it's too close to the shoulder, then it still cannot be repaired.
*
yup,i know but wat if it's far away from shoulder n it's 16" brand new tire ard 70% left?? i've proven 2 my customer which had d same prob which use a special type of sealant jus 2 seal up d side wall front inside n not like those u've been seeing them repair it from outside...

That is a very dangerous practice. Sealants are only temp solutions. It doesn't matter how far it is from the shoulder, even if it is on the shoulder, repairs are not recommended for long term. You can't repair a tyre from the shoulder up to the rim. Life is worth more than one tyre.
*
it's not a dangerous practice my fren....
not everybody is as rich as u think of....
if it's near 2 shoulder then of cuz need 2 b change but jus d side wall it's safe 2 repair... i've been repairing punture tires for 7yrs++ in my dad's workshop n no complaints... unless u wan ur own tire repair or seal it from outside then diff stories as my dad's workshop repair d punture from inside which u seldom sees it in workshop nowadays

BTW, how much is a reasonable price for Michelin Energy 205/55/R16? (Since this topic IS on tyre prices... hehe)
*

heh, sorry..typo tongue.gif

well, if the hole on the sidewall is small then I think less worry guar. Coz its almost impossible to damage the same sidewall area twice. Depending on how small the damage is, the tyre should still be able to use after repair. But if that person drive without giving a damn about the potholes, then I think he should change it. It all depends on the person le smile.gif

p/s: I didn't damage my tyre sidewall...it was just near there. I saw the mechanic repairing the edge of the tyre. I tried to find the hole after that but all traces disappeared. So geng wan he repair sweat.gif

tat's wat i mean...
small small can b repair d. . .
not like those big hole which is visible d. . .
normally small small hole which like wat u said can repair lo. . .
