QUOTE(iman_210 @ Jan 14 2009, 10:16 AM) PerSona stock tyre 195/60/15, comfort eh. stock tyre from factory is either GoodYear NCT, Silverstone Kruizer NS500 or Continental Comfort contact, Mine one c/w with Silverstone..I downgrade to 195/55/15 because performance tyre does not have 60series in size. Now, my overall ride height has been lower by 2cm, ground clearance has been reduced..maybe can achieve higher top speed. new Waja CPS c/w 195/60/15 too.. Added on January 14, 2009, 5:01 pm QUOTE(iman_210 @ Jan 13 2009, 09:53 AM) but for my wife's ride persona tyre width of 205 would rub the inner fender...195 would be just fine...how much u guys reckon it cost 1? 16"x7J rim? This post has been edited by ralf: Jan 14 2009, 05:04 PM |

QUOTE(GRexer @ Jan 14 2009, 03:48 PM) Thought the Persona came with 195/60R15 as standard issue? But again, I might be wrong as the Persona I saw was with factory alloy wheels shod with Continental ComfortContact-1 in 195/60R15 sizing. my bad...its running on conti 195/6015...how much these tyres would fetch if i trade in for 195/50/16?This post has been edited by iman_210: Jan 15 2009, 09:42 AM |

Hey guys, I want to check my Proton Iswara tyres because I am not sure whether need to change or not. Seemed to me that they need changing. Anyway, do you guys by any chance know any good tyre shop which offer fair price and fair service and don't chop people's arms and legs or do daylight robbery? Thanks!
Preferably in Subang, USJ or Sunway. Thanks in advance. |

This I can't really provide much info as I don't operate a tyre shop, might have to travel down to tyre shops to check yourself, but I guess if you tyres had not done more than 5,000km, it should still be worth quite a bit.QUOTE(kampit_ikram @ Jan 15 2009, 10:14 AM) what is recommended brand for 195 55 15 tyre sizes...? hope for durability... can pakai 2-3 years no prob... It's a bit vague to say "last for 2-3 years" coz we have no ideas of your travelling mileage. But for something that last around 60,000-80,000km with proper inflation, you can give Falken ZE-912 a try, they cost about RM165-180 each for the size of 195/55R15.QUOTE(Zhon @ Jan 15 2009, 01:06 PM) Hey guys, I want to check my Proton Iswara tyres because I am not sure whether need to change or not. But as usual, it'll be best if you have a friend who's at least a little knowledgable in tyres to be present, coz being Malaysia, it's always typical that the business man chop people's arms and legs for those who don't seem to know anything about tyres(or whatsoever product) |

i just changed to falken Ze-912 also in this morning in Hup Shun, bandar sunway, 185/60R14, the ride damn smooth compare to the rotten NCT5, now on highway i cant heard a damn sound from the tyres...
and just now raining in shah alam and subang area, drive through all those water puddle kao kao also ntg happen, all the water just SPLASH!! but the steering become heavier when come to turning coz of 175 >185, but the grip it offer r the best... wanna ask, after change the tyres, i dont know is coz of balancing/alignment or the tyres, the steering tents to bias to left a little bit, then it will slowly move to left, y? after change to 185/60R14 will my rim more easier to dent if always go through bumpy road? Grexer, u really ar.... introduce me to a shop that most of the BMW and mercedes go, it make my little vios looks like ntg to them |

Steering tends to bias left is an alignment issue, should have test drove around the area and get them to fix it.
There's not much difference between 185/60R14 and 175/65R14 in terms of easiness to get dented, both are thick enough to provide cushioning if the tyre pressure is set correctly. Well... If I had lived in PJ, I wouldn't mind dropping by to give advice, but unfortunately I don't, sorry I couldn't be there to help explain more. And yeah... Hup Shun Sunway is usually littered with high-end cars Hup Shun SS3 is more understated |

omg....how can be alignment problem, i see him adjust the toe and it all stay at green zone below 0.5 to -0.5
Kaitenaz Racing is a better place for my little vios to live la, at least more vios go there for service, too bad that they didnt hv tyres and alignment service... when i go in, every car is BMW and mercedes, i was really like "am i going to a wrong place" that time, and they doesn't really care about me |

There's a lot of settings to fine tune in alignment and I don't believe I can explain it simply, I myself is still on the learning curve
Hm... Kaitenaz, probably coz Naz used to drive a Vios and he's pretty famous in the Vios crowd Well.. he did kept his words straight that no Blitz Supercharger kit made it into his car, coz he sold it for an Evo |

What Merc are you driving? I think the Michelin XM-1 wouldn't be too suitable for a heavy car, more towards light passenger cars.
For Merc I would recommend the slightly higher end Michelin MVX8 instead |
