lesson no.1 Do not hire staff that have 0 qualification or 0 job experience on related field.

Please insist the company to send this noobs for training or retraining.

i once have a staff, whos job is to do some search on some online database to collect info,
he was asking, why his search result so few only compare to the others.

the truth is, he dont know there is a next button, and even after someone told him, he still can't find it. :S :S :S

oh well, I am a technician for IT support..

my case is kinda funny, I have to drive to nilai from cheras, just to check a keyboard that is unplug from the PC.. and the customer's request was "Cannot login windows, need to reformat cause hangs at login screen".. Oh well, how the hell you can login without a keyboard =.="

another case was, the customer told us his laptop cannot boot into windows and request a loan unit while we take his to fix.. in the end we found out that, it was his startup disk stucked inside his floopy and he keeps get into boot screen..

I wonder if the company did not really see the employee's details before really hiring them.. most of customers' calls are funny for me..

now this really rox.

I was once an intern at a Semicon company for MIS Dept. Now i received complains about a PC is down, can't even boot ON. And the user claimed that the PC was working fine yesterday. When I reached her cubicle, it was a million dollar answer for the question; she didn't plug into the wall socket and turn it on. doh.gif

I know someone work as MIS support. He said once he was helping a HR Manager to solve a problem when the HR Manager couldn't receive any email for the past one week.
So he went to her company, log in to Gmail using her PC to send a test email to her Outlook and also her secretary's email. And true enough only her secretary receive the test email but not the HR Manager. This shows no problem on the office networking.
Only seconds later, he found the root cause of the problem. The HR Manager's mail in Inbox is sorted by date in reversed. A press of the Date Tab, hundreds of unread emails floating the screen.

Again, on another occasion, I received a help refuge email from someone on the production line says that he couldn't log into his PC.

Worst, he forwarded that mail to MIS Dept, the Head of Department and the Director of MIS using the header "Unable to log into server, Server Down" !!! WTF!!!

Now, my head of dept received immediate phone calls to expedite this thing up and give goddamit good explanation on that. He sent me to the employee that complained about server down. All the colleague in the server room were puzzled as no other calls were received regarding server down. They even checked the server and everything is working fine! Worst, some even thought that by resetting the server is all it takes but the routine to bring it up and the avalanche of incoming support call would be too much.

So I went to the designated department, checked the PC and it really can't log in using the regular remote account. Could have been the network or server. I checked the rear of the PC, it seems like there weren't lights activity from the NIC connection.

Great, so I unplug it and replug back. Voila... connection reinitiated, everything is up.

But the PC doesn't seems to be at the right place; there's a dust shadow on the other side that looked like the footprint of the monitor and the tower. Then they told me their manager shifted the PC before.

haha...yeah... sometimes they complain why even the password must be so complex... but for sure sometimes those company want a unique password, and they keep on forgetting it... laugh.gif
