Jan to April is considered peak period for most audit firm

deloitte is shortage of staff now, if you can't get in, only 2 reasons:

1. there are better candidates during interview (when you are invited into an interview, result is not important anymore)
2. you did not provide answer that the interviewer wants (are you a social person? are you a good performer, a good leader? is your double entry strong?)

EY prefer those had clear mindset on which industry they wanted to enter, and results is important to them. You need to be academically sound in order to enter.

I've a 3rd class degree, even worse than you, but I've been in Big 4 for years. I first start off in medium sized firm, then only starts my acca then moved to Big 4, then during Big 4 only complete my acca.

From what I know

Oversea Degree>Local ACCA>Local degree
(Oversea ACCA won't come back Malaysia la, do they?)

If you are only holding local degree, then better not looking for big4. Nowadays local ACCA is getting more and more. Why they need local degree when they can easily obtain ACCA graduate?Of course they will still hire some, but the number is quite low

Oversea degree is just a name for them
What they actually want is the people who live overseas for few years
Because the knowledge and such must be better than local

No they  didnt. I think they hire the oversea graduate or those from private uni. Bcs im from local and public uni. My friend from private uni got selected.

I applied to mid tier but no response. Myb bcs the stop recruiting people. I dont know haha i need job mannn haha

Only got to the interview first. Not yet recruit in but the probability is high. Especially someone who has acca. Pwc btw. I dont know when she applied, actually she is one of the candidates haha i just met her there

I would like to share my experience with Deloitte. There was a career fair in London (2 weeks ago) and I met with one of their directors & handed in my CV. A week later, I got an email saying that I have been shortlisted and I had to complete an online assement. Just this Monday (4 days ago), I received an offer from them. I was a bit surprised as I was expecting to be interviewed but I got the offer straight away (conditional upon my final grades).

Honestly, I don't know much about the culture of Deloitte. Many of my friends are in PWC and E&Y + I did my internship in KPMG. I applied for the audit division by the way.

BDO is 4th in Malaysia, like it or not. I'm not working for BDO just telling it's a fact. It's a norm to rank a company based on revenue same as fortune 500 companies heck even big 4 world ranking use the same metric.
