QUOTE(chinchinsone @ Nov 15 2020, 03:29 PM) Currently an ACCA straight passer, but do they value SPM more than ACCA result? Couldn't find a job 😩 You are not alone... I recently graduated from ACCA too (oct 2020 - straight passer). And I got a first-class honours Accounting Degree. Still couldn't find a job...I guess is because my interview performance really not good... Good academic results is not that important if a person do not have good interview skills (I am the one) Hope I could improve faster for the next interview

QUOTE(lkslks @ Nov 11 2019, 01:17 PM) I am an ACCA fresh grad looking for a career in audit. I applied to big 4 and some mid-tier firms since september. Didn't get any reply except for kpmg (failed the online assessment) and deloitte (only accepting new intake in next year august). Currently I'm searching jobs in jobstreet. However, looking at the amount of applicants, I don't think I will be selected since I don't have experience at all. Any advice for me? How long should I wait? If still no response, I might just apply to small firms but I not sure which firm to apply. Or I might apply accounting/finance jobs in mnc. As time goes by, I lack in confidence for not getting a job. Most of my friends entered big 4 right after they graduated. I think my weakness is I'm not a straight passer and I'm not very outgoing. I feel so stressed out. Pls help I am currently facing the TOTALLY same situation with you 1 year ago. Do you mind sharing with me what happened to your job finding journey after this? Really appreciate if you could give me some advices. TQ!!

QUOTE(Fantastic1218 @ Nov 30 2020, 06:08 PM) Did you have relevant internship experience? Or strong extracurricular activity. They want your skills whole rounded I have experienced working in audit firm as part-time audit assistant but don't have internship, and also an average curricular performance. I guess these maybe also be the reason why I am a bit hard to get a job in any company(small/medium/big). However, I would say interview skills is the biggest reason that I failed. slowly improving now.. by attending more interviews. Hope I could get a job before 2021!Keep positive!!!

I have a question guys....
I got ACCA(completed) and degree, am I qualify for the PwC Jr Xplorer program? Cause I saw the requirement only stated it is for people who is "Graduates from degree" or "pursuing ACCA".
I am not sure whether I can apply for this program?

QUOTE(KappAmir @ Dec 1 2020, 03:11 AM) If you got an ACCA, then you can surely get in. It seems like most of my friends with ACCA gets to join the Jr Xplorers Programme. The question here is whether or not you can still join for the Jan 2021 intake, because it seems like they have already reached the final stages of the candidate selections. You can still try and submit your application. I applied it, but I think I wont be able to get it. The HR called me for a phone interview after a week I applied. She said she will inform me the results after a week, but I didn't receive any email from PwC. I sent them an email asking for updates, however, they seen it without any reply. I am an ACCA holder + degree holder, so I think it is not 100% for ACCA to get it. Maybe my phone interview performance did not reach their standard....
