I just received an invitation to attend an assessment in PWC. Anyone went for this assessment before?

I am required to bring my own laptop. I am wondering what kind of assessment they will give us?

Mind sharing dear forumers.

I also want to ask if I pass all the ACCA papers in 4 years time(CAT+ACCA)
but less/zero curriculum activities( my college doesnt have much activities)

will I loss competitive?
same question as zomode
but I think he's studying degree not CAT and ACCA.

Of course you will lose out.
Let me ask, if they ask you "what is your biggest achievement during your 4 years university life?", How you going to answer this?

You tell them how much you studied and how well your results are? I doubt they will be impressed because there are many first/ second upper degree holders. They are looking for people who is more of an overall achiever.

Trust me. If you are still studying, please be active in different activities. (If certified by your university, then will be better!) bruce.gif bruce.gif bruce.gif

HEy guys, anyone got into big4 with low cgpa ? in uni my co-curiculum activities is rather impressive but the result wise is slighty affected.
just wondering anyone got accepted. btw my cgpa is 2.3

i just applied pwc yesterday. not placing too much hope tho sad.gif

Hello. 2.3/4? If it, then I would say your results are not really good to be honest. You might not even get called up by the big 4s even with such impressive involvement in cocuriculum activities because they are really looking for people with second upper AT LEAST! Unless you completed your internship there, or else I would say it is impossible to enter. I have friends who got second upper and got booted out during the interview process.

Maybe you can consider taking ACCA/CPA/CIMA and beautify your CV with a professional qualification? Good luck!

It isnt myself dont want join/refuse to so that I can focus on my academic result.
Its the accounting club itself doesnt have any activities.
Its been 2 months....the notice board still blank..since I joined the college sad.gif I doubt its a small college.
btw its a college not university dry.gif

I really want to join any activities because I know they wanna find an overall person.I need to become committee with higher post if possible.

No matter what,I am going to write an email to my lecturer to find out why tongue.gif

Hello, let me share some of my experience with you. I wasn't really very active during my university life. In fact, I did not even join all these clubs. But I did participated in some competitions and events like amazing race, tax competition, volunteering jobs. All these add points to your CV.

Remember, doesnt really have to be something related to your studies, things like marathon, volunteering jobs can also be cocuriculum activities too. bruce.gif bruce.gif

i did have internship back in sabah EY but currently im working at this SME audit firm in KL. im currently taking CPA paper and passed 2 paper without failing. gonna use it to beautify my CV but myself not really confident if big4 would really call or not now. just hoping for the best

Maybe you can focus on completing all your CPA papers, then reapply back to big 4. Pretty sure they will be impressed by a professional qualification and your experience working with SME now. Good luck.

Not working for big 4 is not the end of the world!! flex.gif flex.gif
