Hi, I would like to share my experience with Deloitte. There was a career fair in London (2 weeks ago) and I met with one of their directors & handed in my CV. A week later, I got an email saying that I have been shortlisted and I had to complete an online assement. Just this Monday (4 days ago), I received an offer from them. I was a bit surprised as I was expecting to be interviewed but I got the offer straight away (conditional upon my final grades). Honestly, I don't know much about the culture of Deloitte. Many of my friends are in PWC and E&Y + I did my internship in KPMG. I applied for the audit division by the way. Please say hi if you're working in deloitte Thanks in advance

QUOTE(crystalfenix @ Apr 14 2017, 06:10 PM) My friend overseas usually stil go thru some kind of impromptu interview before getting their offers. My friends from places like aussie and london. Maybe the meet up with the director serves as an impromptu interview? Culture all depends on which team you get in to, im from Deloitte. Yeah, I think it might be so. Oh hi Are you in the audit dept? I think I'm a bit worried cause I don't know much about deloitte. I have friends in other of the big 4 so I don't know what to expect. How do you find the company so far?

QUOTE(crystalfenix @ Apr 14 2017, 08:50 PM) Audit is segregated in 3 pools here. If you're in Pool A then you should be quite fortunate, other pools can be not so nice. And it all depends on the boss you get, I was lucky in terms of the partners and managers I worked with, they are quite reasonable. I see thanks for the clarification I was in KPMG for internship so I did pass your building a few times. It looks quite new so I'm wondering what the facilities are like? The facilities at KP are somewhat old.

Hi,
I've been suggested to join Deloitte in either September or October by the HR.
Can anyone please tell me when is the promotion period so I don't miss out?
I remember a senior in KPMG telling me that if you join later, you'll have to wait another year for the promotion period. I was only an intern then so I didn't quite get that.
It would be much appreciated if someone could clarify thanks in advance

QUOTE(TheSecRet @ Apr 20 2017, 11:40 PM) If you are really good in terms of your CGPA as well as sports try to get into PWC or EY as your first option. They have better prospect in Malaysia itself. Thank you for your opnion. Right now I'm in the midst of my final exams so will put job applications on hold atleast until I finish my summer exams. Honestly, I wasn't expecting the job offer from Deloitte but it's nice to keep me motivated for my final exams. I have too many friends in PWC and EY, which is kind off putting in a way but I do get where you are coming from.
